Staytus Is Back With an Alluring Single

ree

Staytus returns with a new single that breeds one of the most edgy releases she's had to date with robust and edgy guitars flowing throughout the veins of the song, heavy-handed percussion and drums, slamming and giving the song a massive overdrive, and vocals that come through alluring and all of it boasts a bit of honesty along with the powerful punch to create something that has an alternative pop atmosphere, all performed with a heavy hand.

"The God, The Artist, & The Creator" gives a lot of Sonic presence and drive right from the get-go with those wailing guitars bringing out pulse-pounding edginess, along with those drums feeding into classic '90s alternative underground soundscapes and really pushing boundaries in terms of energy and boisterous, almost aggressive sound.

There's a lot about this track that sits well with me. One of the reasons is that I grew up listening to a lot of alternative rock and pop, and this track manages to blend those elements together seamlessly, along with hints of industrial, which are all staples of the artist's music in general.

One of the things that grabbed me about this was that it actually has a bit of a grunge undertone as well. Those choruses perform chords and progressions that are heavy-hitting, slammed on the guitars, and give that grunge underbelly in terms of grit and distortion.

On top of that, you have these vocals that are giving you melodic hooks almost non-stop, but those choruses are really where it's at. The choruses are slightly anthemic in a sense, and they have a bit of a seductive tonality and approach to how they are performed, which also pulls you into the track even further.

Staytus is always able to create an atmosphere of her own. She takes huge soundscapes and massive energy, puts them together with her unique vocal tone, and that combination is something that stands tall.

To me, this is one of her heavier tracks, simply because there are so many guitar layers on it. The guitars are aggressive, and they have this almost haunting tonality to them. They're performed differently throughout the track, but there are segments where they're really almost over the top, and the energy of that balances with her vocals in such a perfect way that it just reminds me of classic alt-rock through and through.

There's an awesome sort of little bridge and breakdown section in the middle of the track where it gets stripped down to just the drums, which are amazing by the way, they are super driving and right in the pocket, but they also add an electric energy to everything.

I feel like a lot of the rest of the music pushes off of those drums.

The bass guitar comes in along with those drums after a few moments, and you get a sense of what the song is and how it's built.

This is why I love those stripped-down elements or quick little moments in songs like this. You hear the song as a whole, and a lot is going on, but you still don't really think about how many layers and instruments are being compiled together to create something.

When you get those little stripped-down moments, you begin to think about how the song was actually built from the ground up.

The song is lyrically pretty open as well. It's sort of invasive, but it is about devotion, in a way. It's really just about making something so important in your life that you would die for it, or you feel like you would. It's a sense of almost overwhelming empowerment in terms of having love or inspiration for something almost to the point of obsession.

When you find something that changes you, it becomes a part of your life. Nothing is the same after that and this song, in a way, focuses in on the emotion and heaviness behind that.

This single was produced by Grammy winning producer Mikal Blue along with Patrick "Embryo" Tapu, who delivered a lot of the guitar work that you hear throughout the track, giving it that spacious and elegantly haunting tone.

I am quite familiar with the music of Staytus, and I can definitely tell you that there are no boundaries known here. She's always dropping music that pushes herself and goes slightly different directions, but always has some honesty and character behind it, along with an amazingly alternative and aggressive tone.

This track is no exception to any of those rules.

The single is expected to have a music video dropped on the 18th, so keep a close eye after that, and remember where you heard it first.
