A Fresh Album from The Shamanic

An album release from The Shamanic as a way of pulling you in with sonically enticing soundscapes that blend such lush elements of house, dub, dance pop, and electronic music, all while remaining somewhat eclectic and with this expansive tonality that remains danceable, but still has a vastness to it.

The Traces and Spaces, Vol.2 album has such rich tonality to it without standing synths, keys, and again, this dance ability that makes you want to get up and start moving your body.

There's definitely plenty of experimental undertone to this record, but a lot of the stuff reminds me of classic, late 90s, or even early 2000s house and dance music, so for me, it touched on nostalgic tones that were colorful, but warm simultaneously.

The first track, "Lush Life" certainly uses those 90s orchestra hit synths and brings that vintage and classic dance and house feel to the table and works as a wonderful introduction to the record as a whole seeing that there are plenty of staples that are shown in this track which you can hear on the rest of the release.

Ambient synth pads and driving beats are two of those attributes, and this single alone delivers so much of that atmosphere, you end up falling right into it.

There's some gorgeous vocals throughout the record as well, and you can hear those soulful tones enrich the songs and bring even more to the table in terms of texture and sound.

There are also ethereal elements, dreamy elements, and so much more, all rolled into this one record.

This is definitely a bit diverse, but all stick to that classic vibe. There are some great collaborations done throughout the record as well.

These collaborations help thicken up the songs and bring a different light to them, but it's that brilliant production and shimmer that the project pulls off, which keeps you invested and engaged.

The whole thing has that sort of polish or sheen to it, which is gleaming and bright a lot of the time.

Still, you have that expansive or fast tonality throughout the entire thing, bringing certain tracks to new heights and letting the project showcase how they utilize different influences in these mixes.

The Shamanic is actually a duo that is composed of Ralphi Rosario along with Craig J. Snider, and the two of them bring unique influences, so they can create something that almost everyone can get into.

It's not just about the dance or house elements, it's about the pop and the soul elements as well. The vocals, keys, and overall grooves of this record have soul embedded in them, and that helps breed a very again, nostalgic but unique presence.

Tracks like "Chillaxed" display such a smooth and flowing sound that is indeed beckoning classic chill but also brings to light those dance and pop elements at the same time. So, have a meshing or melting of genres so that they fused together in a way that creates something both nostalgic and refreshing.

To me, the record has something for just about everyone that loves electronic, dance, pop, or house music, and these guys really bring in the dub elements and EDM undertones when they want to, incredibly well.

It all has this beautiful while still remaining a little bit driving with great beats and that almost dreamlike underbelly that lets you float right alongside certain tracks but also get up and shake your butt to others.

Believe me, you will end up getting into some of these grooves because you just won't be able to help yourself.

It's all very well done, and these guys put a lot into the production, detail, arrangements, and have a knack for bringing in collaborators that help push boundaries and bring different elements to certain songs.

It takes a lot to be able to find the right people for your mixes and to bring new attributes to songs that are already robust and beautifully built.

This is an album you should hear all the way through. Don't just listen to one or two songs because it won't give you the full spectrum of what the whole thing delivers.

There are those staples, as I mentioned earlier, but there are also surprises around the corners and these brilliant elements that come in and out of play.

Don't just take my word for it, though. Have a listen to this record as soon as you can and see what it does for you.

Remember where you heard it first.
