ET Boys are back with a new single that once again lets these guys branch out into something refreshing. The thing about this group is that they're able to create a slew of different sounds based on many influences, and this one leans into the light-hearted pop-rock style feel, while still holding firmly onto their pop sensibility the entire time.
No matter what, these guys always showcase that pop undertone, and it's one of their great staples. The ability to create different genres of music and be experimental, be outside the box, and reach out into unknown territory, all while still delivering this unique pop vibe is incredible.
"queremos rock (go thru the motions)" is the new track, and right off the bat, you have a bopping and colorful tonality coated in that rock backbone with some great guitars and a danceable rhythm.
The vocals start off a little bit whispering but build up and get a little more intense as the song unfolds, and the whole thing sinks right into your brain and doesn't go anywhere.
You have a pretty straightforward four-on-the-floor beat, giving the song plenty of drive, but nothing over the top.
Once it hits the chorus, you get a great hook, and these guys are amazing at pulling that off no matter what kind of song they're putting out there, but this one is super radio-friendly.
They incorporate synths and keys to add a bit of electronic aesthetic in there, and the energy levels throughout this track are balanced amazingly.
Songs like this are built with a little bit of freedom.
This song is colorful; it gets you moving, it makes you feel kind of good because it's got this bright tonality, but it also bends genres ever so slightly.
This might be my favorite thing about it all. It is a pop-rock single, but it also feels like a radio pop song, and the way that they mesh those two together seamlessly is pretty amazing.
As the song plays on, it gets a little edgier and more alternative, utilizing digital beats in the form of double kicks and pushing that drive through the roof, making it a little heavier.
Just the way they utilize the electronic beat to create something that you would hear in a metal track is super cool. I don't think I've heard anything quite like it before.
It's also a bit unexpected; you don't really know that's coming, and when it hits, you get taken back a bit.
What's cool is that during those sections, you actually get a lot of heavy rock out of it. So it works for fans of pop, rock, and even alternative.
The beat has these crash symbols that are really hard during that part, and the vocals are soaring and belting, giving you a heavily melodic and enticing texture, and everything is at this energetic height.
I love that they're able to put this kind of fire into a song that's so pop-oriented.
It even feels like it's got a bit of shoegaze influence during that part.
The song then exhales back down to the main sections, and you get right back into the bright, flavorful pop arena once again.
ET Boys are always able to pull these kinds of things off and make it seem completely natural.
Lyrically, it gets a little bit personal, and is basically about meeting someone new, and going through the motions of what you should do next. Being excited about it but not wanting to push too hard or move too quickly.
I love the uncertainty and those lyrics and how normal that makes me feel.
Leave it up to these guys to put personality behind everything as well.
Definitely check this one out, and if you like artists and bands that deliver something a bit different with each track they drop, ET Boys is 100% for you.
There's almost nothing these guys don't do, and they do it all well.
So, dive into this one right now and remember where you heard it first.
