Joy Ride by Melotika transfixes quickly with a darker almost gritty form of radio synth pop combining styles old and new together to make a familiar but slithgly grungy form of pop. Bendy guitars the doom and gloom of bands like Garbage work well with the keys and synths used in the single. A heavy backbone and a hard hitting feel makes the original a bit better than the remixed versions on the EP. Any fan of that darker pop feel should love Joy Ride.
