Loud Tiger Delivers A New EP that Blends Pop And Southern Undertone

I honestly can't say I've heard a better genre crossover than on the new EP from s, which blends a massive, colorful pop overcoat with a Southern underbelly that reaches into Americana and even country at times, and the combination is beautifully done and completely seamless.

The artist shines and thrives with this relentless attitude, spirit, and energy that never lets up throughout the record, though there is plenty of honesty strewn throughout its course.

The EP consists of four tracks, and each one takes a slightly different direction, pushing one genre a little bit above another one but still keeping all of them sort of mesh together to create something that's universally addictive and completely refreshing.

The record is called Good Company, and the title track starts you off.

This introduction to the EP is brilliant because it combines these soulful and very harmonious vocals with a clean but crisp acoustic guitar, sort of bopping rhythm, and starts bringing in a lot of that vivacious but smooth kind of energy.

Once the full beat comes in, you have additional guitars and instrumentation that really give that southern soul more attention, and it starts to help you understand the aesthetic the record is going to boast.

This is definitely a brilliant genre-bending style, and I think that she is outstanding at making it all feel completely natural.

If you love pop music, you're going to love this song; if you love country music, you're going to love this song.

It's definitely really well thought out, and there's a lot of attention to the small things that really pay tribute to her roots and Country and Americana music in general.

The vocals get really big on this one. It's almost like a gospel towards the end, and this just adds to the whole soulful tonality of the track, while it never loses that beautiful pop sensibility.

As I said before, this is an amazing introduction to the EP because it opens the door to some of the great staples that you're going to hear throughout it.

This is definitely a record you want to listen to all the way through, and one shot, because then you will really be able to soak in everything it actually has to offer.

"By Law" definitely follows suit with a lot more of the Americana approach, amazing guitar work, and this sort of cinematic backing that starts building up using string sections.

This all pulls the song together towards the middle and the end and really just has a great impact, also because again, she's being very honest with her lyrics and lets her be slightly vulnerable, but incredibly relatable at the same time.

This displayed the same amount of soul the first one did, only in a bit of a different way. As I mentioned earlier, this one pushes the southern tonality a little bit above the pop aspect, but it still comes together like puzzle pieces and works beautifully.

"Thirsty" is an example of a track that comes across with much more of a pop tonality than anything else. It's got a heavy-handed beat, vast undertones, and this kind of spacious aesthetic, and it works amazingly as well.

I think what ties the songs together, no matter what style is being pushed above the other, is the vocal approach because she just has so much personality and soul in her performances, along with, yes, that honesty.

These aspects give the record authenticity and character, and this is what you end up sort of holding on to throughout its course.

You can tell she's very influenced by mainstream pop during this track and it comes through as powerful as anything you would hear on the radio these days.

She's a little bit experimental here; the production is outstanding, and she's got a powerful vocal with great range throughout this track in particular.

One of my favorite tracks on the record is the closing track, "Cactus", which comes through with this sort of warm contemporary feel and a lot to chew on.

This whole record has a lot to chew on. There's a lot of that personality bursting through in different ways throughout the records unfolding, and as I said before, listening to the entire thing all the way through is the best way to go.

This way, it becomes a bigger, better experience, and you're getting more of her stories. These songs tell stories from personal perspectives, and they are indeed quite relatable because of how straightforward she puts her lyrics.

All in all, this was incredibly catchy and charismatic. I loved being able to sort of have fun deciphering all the pop and the southern tones. How she wants certain songs to feel warmer while others to feel edgier.

It really all came together well and has a very consistent and confluent soundscape.

Definitely check this out as soon as you can as it is just released and don't forget where you heard it first.
