Helena Ros is a Swiss multidisciplinary artist based in Mexico City. Her songs, paintings, and poems are born out of her curiosity to know invisible worlds. Helena’s exploration with voice began while living in NYC in jam sessions, singing circles and improvisational workshops. 10 years later she finally answered her call. She began writing and composing her first album Mother Tongue, with friend Penthy Roussies in Lisbon during the lockdown. Mother Tongue is its own world, vocal led, blending Soul, Funk, Electronic Pop, Spoken Word, Trip-hop, and RnB. Each song is an exploration of the artist's fears and revelations on her vulnerable yet powerful path of self discovery through voice. Mother Tongue is an exercise in inhabiting oneself.
