ANGRY FREAK
ANGRY FREAK was founded in 2017 near Stuttgart, Germany. In the early years, the band started out as a four-piece, but over time, three members had to leave due to personal and professional reasons. Since 2023, Matt Schneider — originally the bassist and vocalist — has been continuing ANGRY FREAK as a one-man project. In the studio, Matt writes, performs, records, and produces everything himself — handling instruments, vocals, composition, mixing, and mastering. The music bounces between upbeat pop-punk energy and raw, aggressive hardcore-punk vibes. Lyrically, ANGRY FREAK spans from tongue-in-cheek, feel-good songs to darker, more introspective and melancholic themes. Despite the rather fierce band name, Matt himself is a friendly, humorous guy — just with the occasional outburst of (appropriately artistic) anger.
