Gunnva Drops A Bright and Spirited New Track

ree

The latest new release from Gunnva puts together elements of Americana, singer-songwriter, and pop to create something that just feels good to listen to as the song itself is completely spirited and has such a positive underbelly that you can't help but attach yourself to it right from the start.

"This Feeling" comes from a personal place, and this has such a beautiful tonality to it, both lyrically, vocally, and musically, because it focuses on faith, religion, and how that kind of spiritual uplift can change your mindset in certain ways.

This is something a lot of us can relate to, and I feel like it's a beautiful way to gain access to the underlying beauty and positivity for life that a lot of us have on the inside.

Gunnva manages to put together a song that centers itself around not just religion or faith, but life itself; experiencing the joys, paying attention to the positives, and feeling happiness when you deserve to.

She doesn't just focus on the faith aspect but instead on the life aspect itself. I love this because finding faith is an excellent way to appreciate life or look at it in a different light. When you do find a particular kind of religion or faith, you go through a life-changing experience, and at times, other things can cause that to happen as well.

It's really the overall outlook that will help you change, and Gunnva really tapped into that lyrically in a way that feels universal, and in doing so, the song feels very connective.

The music is also uplifting, clean, crisp, bright, vibrant, not over the top, but balanced perfectly so that you have this beautiful blend of colors and textures that leave the song flavorful and enticing.

The artist never strays from the pop formula that lets her combine influences and speak her mind, so this track, also being very honest and upfront, speaks volumes for how she writes her music and for the staples that you can expect to hear from the artist herself.

Being fans of Gunnva, we've had the pleasure of reviewing several of her singles previously to this one, and a lot of them do reach into some classic come of vintage or slightly nostalgic pop elements. This track still keeps to some of that but has a different sort of fresher feel to it that does indeed focus more on an almost Americana approach and soundscape.

Her music almost always has a particularly personal aspect to it lyrically, and this track is no exception to that. The lyrical content of her songs is part of what gives them so much beautiful and lush character, which is something that you end up holding on to.

Knowing the artist's music, I was expecting that character to show face once again, and I wasn't let down whatsoever.

She certainly puts pieces of herself into her music and is very unafraid to share her inner thoughts, feelings, and emotions, but also does it in a way that makes sense, is relatable, and can be very fun.

A lot of her tunes are very danceable, and this one is as well, as the song touches on a contemporary pop aspect with some gorgeous organs, adding this amazing tone to the back end of the song, guitars, and keys that all complement her vocals so incredibly well.

There are lots of musical hooks throughout this track, which is also a staple for music at times, and her vocal performance speaks volumes to the sentiment of the song.

It is as charismatic and vibrant as the song itself is, and as the lyrics themselves are as well.

So, as I mentioned before, this is most certainly a bright and addictive sound, but it also showcases how the artist is able to utilize many different influences when she's writing her music so that no two songs really sound alike.

She has great diversity in those influences and is always able to use those attributes when creating new music.

Most importantly, it's the lyrics and persona behind her songs that you really end up attaching yourself to, and I think that's one of the most important aspects of a lot of her releases, including this one.

This is a brand new single released just today, but it will be a part of her upcoming debut full-length LP called Monochrome, set to be released on Halloween this year.

Absolutely dive into this one and look out for the new album coming soon because it's going to be something that you'll want to soak in from start to finish.

Check this track out while you're waiting and remember where you heard it first.
