Ferdinand Rennie Delivers A Vintage And Spirited Holiday Single

ree

If you were not quite in the holiday spirit just yet, then I have the perfect track to get you there. A new single from Ferdinand Rennie has just been released, and it is quite an uplifting and classic holiday song that manages to capture this semi-vintage tonality throughout the entire thing. Because of that, it gives you these beautiful bouts of nostalgia that make you feel warm and fuzzy.

"Together A Christmas" is an upbeat pop coated single that feels like it was recorded in the late 1970s. It's got outstanding guitars that are drenched in this reverb effect and this gives even more of the vintage and classic aesthetic, along with jingle bells rolling steady through the entire thing and one of my favorite aspects of the song itself is that it's got a string section that gives you a classic, '70s musical hook that feels like an old school soul song.

That string hook is everything. It brings you such joy to hear that riff along with this atmosphere; the entire song delivers as a whole.

It really pulls you into the song itself and brings you right there in the moment, giving you these memories that just pop into your head at random.

Ferdinand's vocals are robust and beckon your attention right from the get-go. When you listen to this song, you can feel his energy shining through. That energy is completely infectious, and it doesn't let up through the entire song.

He's got a joyful approach to the song itself, and he also boasts one of those classic styles. Like Neil Diamond, he has that boisterous vocal, wide vibrato, and it has a wonderful way of wrapping itself around you and keeping you right where it wants to.

I absolutely adore this simply because when you hear Christmas songs, they feel so updated, which is fine. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but that's part of why we always go back to the classics.

We want to hear Bing Crosby, Sinatra, Elvis and all those guys again.

We go back to the original version of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee.

The reason we do these things is that we grew up listening to those songs.

Those are the ones that hold more of a sense of nostalgia for us than the newer ones.

Again, there's absolutely nothing wrong with newer-sounding Christmas songs, but there's just something about that classic or vintage feel that gives us warmth.

Ferdinand captured this aesthetic perfectly. The music was all recorded and mixed in such a way that makes it sound classic, and his vocal approach follows suit amazingly.

Ferdinand is an artist who has an absolutely incredible presence. You can get pulled into a song from across the room because of the way he sings.

The chorus is incredibly memorable, and by the time you get to the second or third one, it's just full swing. There was so much going on between backing vocals, strings, the live percussion just driving everything, and the way it all comes through with such a huge and colorful tonality.

Ferdinand Rennie is someone who knows how to take a song and make it all his own.

He's quite well known for his interpretations and renditions of major tracks from Leonard Cohen to Sarah McLachlan and more.

He's able to take these songs and create a new atmosphere for them, but still put them together in a way that feels like they're a love letter to the originals.

He's had worldwide radio play from a lot of those renditions, and the Australian-born, British performer and singer resides on the west coast of Scotland, where he has already accumulated some amazing accolades.

It's so amazing to hear a track like this right now because it's the perfect time to start getting into the spirit, and there's nothing better than a really full-bodied and high-energy Christmas track to do it.

Especially a song that gives you that sense of nostalgia when you listen to it. This is a song that pays a lot of attention to the details. They made sure the tones of the instruments were on point; they wanted to give you that vintage soundscape, and Ferdinand delivers bright vocals that are powerful but still warm and welcoming all at the same time.

I would definitely check this out right now because Ferdinand is ringing in the season in his own way.

This is more than worth your time, especially if you are a fan of Christmas music or holiday music in general.

This is one for the books.

Remember where you heard it first.
