David Knowles is a Dublin-based singer songwriter with a husky, earthy voice and a deeply personal style. After years of writing in private, he began finishing songs he had started decades earlier, weaving themes of memory, family, grief, and fragile hope into his music. His project, DECAYDS, reflects on the passing of time and the weight of lived experience. Blending piano, acoustic guitar, and intimate vocals, his songs recall the raw honesty of Damien Rice, Glen Hansard, and Radiohead’s softer moments. To date, David has released six original singles on Spotify, including the emotional Open Your Eyes, recorded with his children and produced by Beardfire Studio. His music is as much about storytelling as it is about healing - personal yet universal, devastating yet hopeful.
