The return of Clozure, in my opinion, is a triumphant one. They just released a new single that really shakes things up with incredible performances by every single person in the group and it feels like each of these members are pushing the next so that the entire atmosphere and level of energy and authenticity is coming through with such a powerful and impactful approach that you just can't shake it off after it's ended.
"Relapse" is a very intense track. I absolutely love how they kind of bend genres on this one utilizing different tones and textures throughout the song to bring about what feels like a very cinematic and Incredibly emotionally driven opus of a soundscape that has a certain kind of purity to it that, I think, just comes from all the honesty that's delivered and how it is delivered as well.
When you listen to the lyrics of this song they seem incredibly relatable and I do think that different listeners will take it in different ways however, the sentiment is pretty clear.
This song exemplifies the band's ability to draw you in with this amazing intensity that feels like something you can feed off of yourself.
It's almost like the song was written just for you, even though you know it wasn't and that's a connective element that you don't get often.
Nikollaj, the lead singer, has such an amazing power behind her vocal approach that no matter what you're doing or where you are you get automatically sucked into this particular kind of energy that she puts out.
Her vocal range is crazy but it's not really just about that. It's more about how she is able to give off this fluctuation of notes and melodies that end up sticking with you and sometimes they feel so beautiful and come across with such a graceful and genuine tonality that again, you just can't shake it.
This track has a lot of intensity to it, as I mentioned earlier, but her vocals are really what takes the cake here, and I don't mean just because of the lyrics. I mean because of the way she sings it all.
I am no stranger to this band and I can tell you right now that this song is a step in the evolution of the band as a whole.
The way things were arranged, the way the song was even mixed, the tone of the guitars, the percussion and rhythm of the song, the bass guitar playing such an important role in the verses, all of it comes together with such an amazing and seamless flow that it just grabs you.
This is a step in an amazing direction for this already amazing band. These guys have put out some songs that have been really crazy but this track is a new level for them and I love it.
It's so hard not to get pulled into the song and just be engulfed by everything it has to offer.
It is heavy, graceful, alternative rock with this unique songwriting approach in elements that lets it breathe and gives it those waves of sort of, beautiful destruction.
This is a track you certainly will not forget and I would suggest listening to it a few times because then you can really pick up on everything going on, especially lyrically which is very important.
There's such an expansive underbelly to this one and it's heavy but it's got a move to it and a certain kind of rhythm that you end up sort of floating along inside of.
You actually float along inside the entire soundscape of it all including the rhythm.
It's super full-bodied and has those amazing layers of lushness and this kind of edgy almost dark undertone that flows through the veins of it all.
It is a beautifully heavy and emotionally gripping single that showcases some vulnerability and immense character while still remaining edgy and insanely memorable.
I suggest listening to this one for yourself. That's the only way you can really understand everything I'm talking about.
Put on some headphones and blast this song in your ears and believe me when I tell you, it's going to put you in a certain place.
The band was originally founded by guitarist Michael Cordle and was able to recruit and find the right kind of people to bring everything to fruition to the point where releasing a song like this is something that showcases the band and speaks volumes for how they deliver music in such an immense fashion.
Definitely check this out and you will be affected by it.
Remember where you heard this first.
