A New Single from Bgbgb Delves into What It Means to Become a Man

A new release from Bgbgb digs into the sentiment of manhood pretty deeply, especially in terms of what life brings you and the choices you make throughout it, changing the person you are in the end.

This is a single that takes you through different chapters in a human life. It goes through all these elements of the American dream, from family and kids to career and goals, and really digs in.

The track rifles through the classic ideal for your average American man and how that differs from person to person, but there's still this sort of unity behind it all.

It's about how you go from a boy to a man. That sentiment is important because it's a little different for everyone.

A lot of us think that we are men until we realize we're not. For me, for example, I kind of always knew I wasn't fully grown on the inside.

I'm kind of like a boy running around in a man's body, and I think that's how a lot of us feel from time to time.

I'm 45 on the outside but 22 on the inside. Now, there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever because I think that's just part of life; however, when I had kids.

I think this is where the song is going. There are chapters in your life that automatically change you from a boy to a man. Priorities change, life changes, goals change, and all of a sudden, these other people are put before you.

You put your family before yourself, and a lot of that is sacrifice, and this is part of that change in your life. It's like someone throws a switch, and now things are different. You can feel it when that happens.

Having kids is just one example, but it is mentioned in the song itself as well. A wife, kids, career, loved ones, it's all there, and it's all part of how things changes you get older.

I'm sure for some of us, nothing actually changes. Some people just kind of stay who they are, don't get married or aim for some high career goal, and that's fine too.

I found it amazing how the artist was able to delve this deep into some of the backdrops in terms of how life is constantly changing.

I think this may be one of the most difficult aspects of life in general. Change is a constant. We have to deal with that, as much as we don't like it.

I've known a lot of people in my life, and I don't think a single one of them likes change, but it comes for all of us.

Now, this is how I interpreted the song, and others may take it a little differently, but for me, the sentiment was really loud and clear.

It was that loud and clear to me, simply because I connected with it and related to it automatically.

I loved how he was able to put this into song so well and articulate his lyrics so that it told a linear story.

The story of how a boy becomes a man.

The track has loads of soul and delves into R&B, neo soul, and plenty more with amazing grooves, natural instrumentation, great guitar work, and the whole thing just has this authenticity to it that is undeniable.

I think it's important that we have songs that deliver this much soul and also dig into this construct. The idea of becoming a man and how that has a different meaning to different people.

The way he describes the kind of American dream aspect of things is brilliant, and how he relates that to becoming a man is really well put.

Not a lot of us think about that aspect of things.

For a lot of us, all of a sudden, we are men. We didn't really realize that it happened, but it sure did.

"Man's Journey" takes you through it in such a superb way.

Throughout the unfolding of the single, you have these layers of guitars that sort of groove and bounce off of each other, along with excellent production in terms of the beat and how it has a sort of delicate flow to it, along with loads of backing vocals that fill any kind of empty space and make the song feel lush.

All of these aspects come together like puzzle pieces throughout the track and in the end, you really have a song that makes perfect sense.

That message comes through loud and clear, but so does the heart and the character behind it all, which is probably the most important aspect of the entire thing.

Bgbgb is an artist who always branches off into different directions depending on what he's focusing on at the time, and this track showcases his ability to write songs with depth and honesty, while still keeping a smooth semi-90s R&B flow to everything.

You can really hear some of those classic influences shining through when listening to this song.

I definitely loved grooving to it and just soaking in the sentiment behind it all.

This was very genuine and came through with a hint of vulnerability and strength.

I think it takes a bit of guts to lay out a track like this because I feel like the artist knew that it would connect with a lot of us out there.

So, take a listen to this single now, and you can get a good idea of exactly what I'm talking about.

Remember where you heard it first.
