A Driving and Catchy Synth-Pop Single from Pol Sembrano

The latest single release from Pol Sembrano brings out a refreshing blend of dance pop, synth-pop, house, and more, all rolled into one big, catchy track that provides a very high level of energy because it's very up-tempo, and also comes through with a certain level of color that becomes infectious.


One of the things I love most about "Anywhere", is that it makes me think of classic, vintage, almost 80s pop music in a certain sense. There are keys and synths along with melodic hooks and vocals that all kind of deliver this aesthetic in a certain way, and it gave me bouts of nostalgia because I grew up listening to this kind of stuff.


In combination with that, you have an almost hyper-pop approach again, because it's so high tempo and very driving with that main synth pushing the track along.


The song absolutely boasts an amazing hook in its chorus, and that sticks with you for hours or sometimes even days after the song has ended. It is fast, but it is also very danceable, and you can hear a slew of influences coming through on this track.


Beneath the main synthesizers, you have a synth pad that adds a bit of vastness and spaciousness to the underbelly of the track, and I really like that as well because it gives you a little hint of cinematic sensibility.


It has a natural forward-moving flow, and you can tell there was a lot of attention to the tonality of the keys and synths on this track.


Pol took note of how he wanted the aesthetic of the song to feel when it was complete. This is someone who has plenty of experience as a classically trained pianist and a composer, utilizing some of those abilities to create something with a different sort of sonic soundscape.


This is an electronic track and again, breeds that blend of synth pop into hints of old school approaches and driving house.


The combination works wonders and makes the song super memorable. It is loaded with great progressions and those hooks that pack a little bit of a punch. The whole song kind of packs a little bit of a punch because again, it is fast but also has hints of edginess in its synth tones.


It also has heart and comes through warm all at the same time. This again is because he is someone who knows how to play with both ends of the spectrum in making something catchy, colorful, but also driving, and slightly edgy at the same time, while delivering those robust hooks that keep you there.


Pol performs everything from guitars and keyboards, synths, and pretty much everything else under the sun, along with the vocals himself.


So, he goes straight into this knowing that it was a track with a beautifully placed pop overcoat, and he came through vocally with an energy level that helps really balance the drive of the song perfectly.


It's not overpowering. The vocals actually add a little bit of subtlety or smoothness to the track, and between the slight edginess and drive of the pop synths and fast pace of the song, and those smoother style vocals delivering melodic hooks, it all worked out perfectly.


This track fell together like pieces of a puzzle, and not only did the artist and producer right and perform everything, but he also recorded it all himself.


Pol worked with producer Casey Lewis in terms of the final mix mastering and added production, which all came out great, and obviously, this was someone who understood the mission completely.


Definitely have a good listen to this fun, robust, warm, and colorful, but driving and addictive synth pop and electronic single, and you just may find yourself singing those hooks in your head by the time the end of the song comes around.
