YASSIN & Sean Terrio Release A Beautifully Present Single with Charissa

If ever there was a song that warms the soul, it's the new single from YASSiN & Sean Terrio featuring Charissa called "Right Here Right Now", simply because it is oozing with this amazingly warm tonality that is incredibly inviting, along with the sentiment that I feel like we can all relate to, delivered with heart and such intense levels of soul that it just wraps itself around you.

One of the most beautiful aspects about this track, aside from the sentiment of it, is the fact that it delivers this natural silkiness. The tones of the instruments from the guitars to the pianos, along with those incredible vocals, are all so fluent.

It creates a beautiful aesthetic and really pulls you into the song straight from the get-go.

Now, this is a track that borders certain kinds of genres, and although it is coated in a beautiful pop feel, it has this welcoming Americana undertone to it. That southern hint is almost always there in the instrumentation, the progression, and the vocal performances.

Vocals across the song are bountiful and have a gorgeous tone, but a power as well. They're smooth, soothing, and invite you to join in.

This all helps the sentiment of the song really shine.

Some other instruments bear southern tonality. It does sound like lap steel flowing through the background of the song, and that gives it some great depth as well as texture. It adds to the flow of everything and also really helps build part of the emotional mood of the song as well.

That combination of acoustic guitar, piano, and lap steel is just incredible. The texture blends with each other in such a wonderful way that it creates a one tone, as a whole.

The song touches on being present. We are here, we are feeling, we are living. It's amazing to have dreams, to have other people to share those dreams with, but don't forget to be present, in the moment, right now.

This is a beautiful sentiment, and I think a lot of people will gain a lot from listening to this track.

Now, this is how I interpreted the song. Others may take it in a little bit differently, but for me, I really understood it in this matter.

Because I did, it really hit me. I can't forget to be present either. I think people need to hear songs like this because you get filled with a certain kind of brightness listening to such a warm and inviting song. A song that bursts with soul and comes through with such unique authenticity is something we all need.

When we hear a song like this that delivers a message, it's something else altogether.

It's a very heartwarming, moving, and sort of cinematic song, simply because it bears that much emotion.

The vocals across the border are outstanding as always, and Charissa really brings something refreshing to the play as well.

She really complements the other vocals amazingly. She's got a very similar vibrato, so everything feels completely natural. She comes through with the same kind of smooth but powerful approach, bursting at the seams with that Soulful time, and everything just comes together like puzzle pieces.

This was a gorgeous single, and by the time you get to that last chorus, you have callback vocals repeating that hook, which is brilliant because then you have the two sides coming together.

This just somehow makes it feel more whole. It makes it feel more unified and more impactful.

This is a single to really hold on to and I feel like it's an amazing follow-up to the duo's album release they previously put out.

You can definitely check that out as well, which is something you should absolutely do, especially if you dig this track.

The record is called Just Try, and while I would love to dig into that one again, I'll let you listen for yourself.

For now, listen to "Right Here Right Now", so you can really get a feel for how the elements and tones come across.

While you are doing that, have a read through of our new interview with the group below.

Don't forget where you heard this first.

Q) Hello and welcome back! Let's talk about "Right Here Right Now"! This song was warm and had this infectious intensity, lush with organs, and piano!!  Where did this track come from?

A) Sean: Howdy, thanks for having us back! Simply put, this track was borne of our

intention to get back to being creative. After a year of recording, marketing an album and playing awesome shows, it can be challenging to sit back down to write something. We had set up a writing session with our friend Charissa so we could all get back on the horse and I had been recently working on a hook and some lyrics, trying to capture a vibe. As soon as we sat down with it, all of us just started flowing.

Q) You brought on Charissa for this one and it proved to work wonders! How did that happen?

A) Sean: Howdy, thanks for having us back! Simply put, this track was borne of our

intention to get back to being creative. After a year of recording, marketing an album and playing awesome shows, it can be challenging to sit back down to write something. We had set up a writing session with our friend Charissa so we could all get back on the horse and I had been recently working on a hook and some lyrics, trying to capture a vibe. As soon as we sat down with it, all of us just started flowing.

Q) Did you write lyrics together and bring them to Charissa, or did she write it with you guys?

A) Sean: Before the session I had been toying around with some song ideas, a loose handle on something we wanted to say. We brought these little hooky and lyrical bits to the session and fairly quickly we turned it into Right Here Right Now. There are little pieces of each of us in this song, lyrically and musically, and we feel we’ve created a sum greater than its parts.

Q) Do you perform the song live and if so, is she joining in for that?

A) Sean: Yes! We’ve played this one a few times in our shows over the past year. Luckily I I don't think we’ve ever had to do it without Charissa yet, and we’re grateful for that fact. The second she sings a note the audience is hooked and that makes us look better. LOL.

Q) Any new touring set up yet?

A) Yassin: As I’m writing this we’re actually preparing for two back to back shows in Oakville and Guelph, but a summer tour is always in the works! After this song comes out, we have a few tunes we need to wrap up for the album, but after that we are in full live show/festival mode!

Q) Is this single part of an upcoming EP or album?

A) Yassin: Haha, I sort of answered this above! At first it was going to be an EP, yes! But it turns out we have a lot of songs ready to go! So we are doing

Q) Who's in your headphones right now?

A) Yassin: I have been OBSESSED with Djo lately. Each time I listen to The Crux, I have a new favorite song.

Q) What would you tell people they can expect on this release?

A) Yassin: The first album was full of love songs, and I’d say this release and everything else we put out from this upcoming project is as personal as it gets with us. You’ll hear/feel the struggles Sean and I both have had over the last few years, and an underlying theme of hope.

Q) Before we go, what would you like to express to fans of the music?

A) Yassin: We are extremely grateful for you being here with us, sharing our music, and yeah we love you a lot.
