Miss Mikaila just dropped a killer new single called "Back To You" and it holds nothing back in the way of gritty alternative rock.
Vocally, she's got the pipes for country music and at times even touches on the genre with her attitude on the track.
But this is a rock track and crushes with hard hitting drums as a solid backbone along with melodic rock guitars and major pop undertones.
"Back To You" has it's darkness and you can tell the song came from someplace real. A chapter in the artists life. The realness is portrayed with passionate performances and just the right amount of aggression.
There is also something slightly old school about the song like it could have been in the credits of a film from the late 80's.
This is a real banger and hits like a sucker punch to the gut.
Starting off feeling like an acoustic pop song then bursting into her own brand of alt-rock, "Back To You" is a real contender in the arena rock world.
