Going, Going, Gone is an acoustic-leaning pop/soul track inspired by retro music of the 60's, Olivia Dean and Norah Jones, built around live instruments, lush vocal stacks, and a subtle modern touch through a manipulated violin sample. The song came from processing a friendship breakup... the moment you realize that making yourself smaller to be loved is no longer possible. Though rooted in reflection, the track carries a hopeful, forward-moving energy rather than leaning into sadness. It’s a song that helped me move through one of the most painful moments of my life
