Jett Jano is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up listening to hometown musical greats such as Eubie Blake, Billie Holiday, Dru Hill, and Mario to name a few. Since the tender age of 3, he would perform for family members imitating one of his favorite artists Michael Jackson. Overtime journaling ultimately evolved to reflect his love of music and his natural talent for songwriting emerged. The development of Jett’s eclectic timbre can be traced to his musical influences who are very diverse and extensive. They include legends such as Michael Jackson, Gil Scott-Heron, Prince; and other creatives such as Frank Ocean, Steve Lacy, and Kaytranada to name a few. These influences helped to shape and define his lyrical style and creativity. “The one word that DOES NOT describe Jett Jano’s sound is the word: “ordinary.” His style, lyrics, and vocals are all uniquely unto themselves.
