A massive album release from Endless Harmony brings out a soiree of heavy rock approaches that lend a hand to both melodic metal, alternative rock, and everything in between including things like grunge and more but what grabs you about the album is the fact that it comes with this almost dark and gothic edginess to it along with incredibly inventive riffs and drilling bass tones that fatten things up but also let the sounds come through with a heavy-handed punch.
The Emerge album has a lot of intensities and layers that come along with it and it's incredibly fun to peel back those layers.
This band blends elements of classic late-90s underground alternative rock in the vein of bands like Deftones, especially in the tonality of the guitars and some of the approaches songwriting-wise.
The whole thing is blistering and comes with such amazing attitude and swagger from lead vocalist Pamela Perez, who brings a powerful but beautiful element and texture to the already grungy and heavy musical backing.
The combination of these elements creates something that you get attached to. The way that Pamela delivers these vocals also gives the songs character and personality, so you end up getting attached to that as well.
Every element of this band is critical. The drums are destructive but super tight while letting the songs feel alive and breathing.
The bass guitar lines are imperative on a lot of these tracks, but the bassist has also really honed-in on an intense and perfect feeling bass tone for the kind of music this is.
It's not super fat, but it's not too sharp either. It's perfectly in the middle, so it gives the songs an added drive.
What's more, is the way that the performance is from all members of the band. The energy is completely addictive and electric to the point where it feels like these songs were possibly recorded live on the floor to an extent and each of the band members was feeding off of each other's energies the entire time.
This is a huge part of why these songs actually feel so intense and thriving.
You can clearly tell this comes from a band with a pure love for their craft. When I say that I don't just mean playing instruments or singing, I mean writing songs together that have an impact, a perfect level of edginess, sick riffs, and can also be incredibly memorable to the point where you end up having choruses and hooks floating around in your brain for hours after the songs have ended.
I love that heavy alt rock approach and soundscape they deliver because it comes with a certain kind of vastness in its underbelly and that hits just as hard as the blistering upfront sounds as well.
This is a record you should listen to from beginning to end because listening to only a few tracks may give you an idea of what you can expect but does not give you the full spectrum of what the album has to offer as a whole.
This was a huge record with incredible sonic drive all the way through and all these songs were addictive.
Again, I would urge you to listen to the entire record from beginning to end because this way you can really soak it all in for what it's worth.
Digging into this album entirely lets you sort of escape into their world which feels awesome.
At any rate, fans of hard and heavy alternative rock and melodic metal will absolutely love this record because these guys thrash out with a particular approach and it comes through powerfully with that blend of color and edginess, gothic darkness, and a beautiful vocal approach that balances everything out dynamically.
Take a deep dive into this album as soon as you can and remember where you heard it first.
