DJ Xtee and Tshepisho Drop An Addicting Tech-House EP

A fresh EP release from  DJ Xtee delivers a set of mixes that range from and blend classic house along with elements of dance, synth-pop, electronica, tech-house, and more, all rolled into this one EP that gives you different variations and mixes of this incredible track and each one stands on its own two legs and reaches into slightly different areas of the genre but showcases different approaches to the production.

The track is called "Don't Make Me Wait", and the EP starts with its radio mix. This version of the track is a bit shorter, of course, since it is indeed the radio mix; however, it does feature some of the main pinnacles of the track, its drive, its vast and ambient undertones, and the brilliant approach to giving this late-night club aesthetic.

The track definitely reaches into a cinematic vibe and makes you want to move because it does have that classic house backbone and beat, but also features some outstanding outside elements and synth work that helps breed different approaches and expand the depth of the track itself.

One of the things I love about this track is the way that it builds and how it adds different layers of percussion and vocal samples throughout the track, as well as synth and keys that come in and out, building on the lushness of the track itself and the robustness of how it comes through.

You can tell that there was a lot of attention to the detail of how the song unfolds and progresses, along with how you want to keep that danceable drive but also add external elements to breed a little bit of edginess or even more spaciousness in the underbelly of the track.

All of this was well thought out, and that main mix is probably my favorite one.

The radio mix is followed up by the full and extended version, and this gives you a bit more to hold on to and add more spaciousness and expansive textures, which of course feels like a full-on club track.

That the song breeds naturally. You can also hear a bit more of those vocals coming in and out, and it has different percussion that fades in and out of the track throughout its course.

This was a cool version, and I feel like this mix of it is probably the most cinematic out of all of them.

This version features some different synthesizers as well, but this is all part of having mixes that are a little different from each other. They're all going to bring something different to the table, whether it's synths, percussion, keys, edits or cues, or vocals.

The closing version of the track is called the dub mix, and I certainly dig this one too, simply because it has a sort of live DJ set feel to it.

This version of the track puts you there in the moment in a way, and I like the way that feels because it gives the air of a live set, and that also makes you think about being at a club.

All of these versions may be a bit different than each other, but they all hold to this wonderful aesthetic that is both cinematic and almost mysterious, breeding classic house approaches with fresh techno and even trance undertones, and it all came together like pieces of a puzzle.

I found this to be a very intriguing record, and listening to it all the way through is quite a good time.

Again, I think the original mix is my favorite, but instead of the radio mix, which is the same as the original but shorter, I would go with the full extended 6-minute version to start with.

This gives you a great vibe for the track and its atmosphere because believe me, this track delivers an atmosphere that's all its own and has a way of sort of engulfing you.

I feel like this kind of music is meant to engulf you to an extent, and it feels good to dive in.

All of these tracks feature Tshepisho, and I think between the two of them, they definitely created something that feels both futuristic but also can give you bouts of nostalgia at the same time.

Check this EP out as soon as you can and get pulled into the atmosphere of it all.

Remember where you heard it first.
