Anna Storm just dropped a new single that most certainly showcases a bright, vibrant, powerhouse sort of side of her personality, with a pop overtone, a lighthearted drive, and a lot to say.

One of the things I love most about "Sunshine" is the attitude. She comes in with a very particular kind of swagger and, with that, brings loads of character, which is one of the things you get attached to the most throughout the song.

This is a song about getting to where you want to be. Being proud of how far you've gotten, overcoming hurdles, and landing in a place that you fought for.

I really enjoy that sentiment, simply because a lot of us can actually relate to it. The song is super connective in that manner, especially.

She's kind of telling everyone to look out because here she is. That's the powerhouse side of things. That's where the swagger comes in.

Again, she does this in a sort of light-hearted way because this is a single that feels very current and radio-friendly, just dripping with pop tonality and texture, and really having this vibrancy that is not just danceable, but infectious.

Now, some of this comes from the energy that she's delivering as well. She's got a really alluring sort of energy that gives you just a hint of bite, and a lot of welcoming warmth.

The track has an amazing bass line, which is one of the things that really drives it forward. I feel like a lot of the song sort of leans on that, and that's a huge actual hook of the song as well.

You don't always hear the bass giving you a hook like that, so when it comes along, it's really refreshing.

You also have whistling on the track that gives you an addictive little hook too. That is kind of an early 2000s move, and I really dig it because it's a little nostalgic, but it also feels current at the same time.

There are some light guitars that give you more melody, letting the bass guitar and vocals sort of become harmonious and give you these layers that feel good to listen to.

Anna is definitely on point when it comes to singing. She can be a little softer or more delicate when she wants to be, but when it's time to belt out, she certainly doesn't hold back.

The cool thing about this is that even though it's got this super danceable, pop drive, she sings with all this soul. She's just oozing with soul and passion in her vocals, harmonizing layers when she wants to give you a thicker, more robust feel, or just bringing it down to one singular vocal track to let you soak in the lyrics.

One of the other infectious aspects about the song is that attitude. It gives you power yourself. Listening to the song first thing in the morning will sort of shape the day for you. You feel like you can take on anything.

It's the song that reminds you of how you got where you are. You didn't get to the place you're in from just having it land in your lap. You fought for it, worked for it, and struggled for it. So when you get an achievement from all the work you put in, it feels good.

Sometimes life throws us all kinds of other struggles and tribulations because that's just life. We tend to forget and focus on certain negative aspects. It takes songs like this one to remind us that we are strong.

So, not only is Anna delivering a track that is catchy and unbelievably worthy of the radio waves, blending a sort of early 2000s and current pop aesthetic, but she's also delivering a message that is meant for herself, but it's also meant for us.

It makes you wonder if she knows that other people can feel empowered by the music. I think she does. I think that's part of why she releases songs like this one.

This is definitely a flavorful single with loads of vivacious approaches, hints of tenacity, and a boisterous soundscape that you have to move to.

Seriously, if you're driving in the car, you're going to be shaking your butt in your seat. If you're at home, you might as well just move the couch back so you can dance around the living room.

It's also the kind of song that you will sing along to by that last chorus. It's got loads of great hooks, and as I mentioned before, some of those are instrumental. I miss instrumental hooks and all kinds of music, so I'm glad she brought it back for this one.

This was a very well-produced single with a lot of attention to detail, and it also showcases how Anna is able to portray this unbelievable energy even on record.

It sort of makes you want to see her performing live. If she can capture this kind of aesthetic on a recording, seeing her live must be awesome.

So, if you want a feel-good, empowering, uplifting, spirited, attitude-riddled pop single, then this is 100% for you.

Take a deep dive into this track, turn it up, and remember where you heard it first.

By the way, after you check the song out and you dig it, I would absolutely suggest checking out some of the songs from her catalog on Spotify as well.

Particularly songs like "Still I Rise" and "Trap Opera".
