An Honest and Bright New Single from Chloe Clouds

ree

A brand new release from Chloe Clouds delivers a sentiment that a lot of us can understand and relate to, especially in terms of being in a relationship, and she was able to articulate those particular thoughts into words so well that they completely resonated with me.

"Same Page" is a song that talks about exactly that. Both parties of a relationship being on the same page. She wants to make sure that the person she's with is on that wavelength with her. This is an important thing in relationships, and a lot of us think about that or even have certain struggles with our partners, but don't exactly know how to articulate that into words and music, which is where artists like Chloe come in.

This is a song that makes perfect sense for plenty of people out there who want that certain something out of the person they're with.

The track is beautifully performed, and along with that sentiment comes This bright and almost cheeky approach and tonality.

This makes the track super light-hearted, and it shines with the beautiful artist presence that Chloe gives off with her vivacious and warm vocals.

She does have this natural warmth to how she sings, and the entire song actually carries that welcoming aesthetic with it.

The single is Americana, country, contemporary pop, and more, all sorts of rolled into one soundscape, and she does it really well because the energy level throughout the song feels genuine.

She puts you right there in the moment with her, and I feel like that's why you get pulled into the song so easily.

It is full of lush and acoustic instrumentation that again gives more of that tonal warmth.

She has some great vocal harmonies throughout the song that don't push over the top but just have this natural flow to them that feels good to listen to, and she has such a colorful way of putting things lyrically and performing them vocally.

Like I said, it's a little cheeky and I like that. It showcases some of her personality, which is something that we look for from an artist like this.

This is definitely a song that lets us know a little bit more about who she is, and without being too serious about it either.

Chloe definitely has a love for her craft, and this song proves it. The way that she sings in the range that she has throughout this song feels freeing. It's like she was free to just go wherever she wanted with those notes in that range, and it felt good to listen to.

One of the best words I would use to describe this track is spirited. It is an unbelievably spirited track, and that is quickly infectious.

The character and persona that's attached to this is something that you end up hanging on to, and although there's a lot of attention to detail throughout the arrangement and composition, obviously the recording as well, it never loses that heart or that character the entire time, and that's probably the most important thing about the song.

Upon listening to this track, I took a bit of a deep dive into her Spotify to listen to some previous releases, and I'm certainly glad that I did because she's got a handful of amazing singles released throughout the past few years that really also showcase different sides to her artistry, along with her personality.

It seems that Chloe Clouds is an artist who gives little pieces of herself in her music and is always able to bring her slew of influences to the table to create something that's got its own atmosphere but feels good and makes sense.

Her songs are connective, and they have beautiful Hooks and elements about them that stay with you for hours after the songs have ended.

"Same Page" is absolutely no exception to any of those rules.

This is a song that hangs on to you and bounces around in your brain. The only way to satiate that is to go and listen to it again.

I definitely enjoyed this sort of warm and inviting, honest and character-riddled Americana single and the presence that came along with it.

But don't just take my word for it, have a listen to this track as soon as you can, see you'll see exactly what I mean.

While you're doing that, you can check out our interview we conducted with Chloe herself to find out where the song actually came from and what might be coming up for her.

Here's what happened.

Buzz Slayers: Let's talk about Same Page! This had such a warm tonality, blending some Americana influence and boasting such personality as well! Where did this album come from?

Same page is the latest track off my upcoming EP Swings & Roundabouts. It’s a playful take on dating & meeting in the middle.

The sound is very much influenced from Nashville and the country vibe working with my Producer - Tyler Spicer. We wanted a fun light hearted vibe for this one. He nailed the brief! We both loved the track and it’s had some great feedback from everyone that’s heard it so far.

It’s a very relatable message in the song and I think people like how simple and generic it is.

Buzz Slayers: I'm hearing a few different styles to this single! Who are some of your biggest musical influences?

Phil Collins - timeless music that I adore so much. Adele - her early tracks were hugely influential. Alicia keys, Chris Stapleton more recently & Lainey Wilson.

Buzz Slayers: How did this all start for you as an artist? When did you fall in love with music?

I have always loved music. I only delved into this seriously in 2019. Through life events I refound music. I was on an eat pray love adventure in Bali by myself and deep into meditation and healing and listening to my subconscious and it kept circling back to the music. I felt I had gone through life ignoring this inner voice and all of a sudden when I found songwriting life made sense. I had a new sense of purpose and as music had been such a powerful healing tool for me my only dream is to give that back to others somehow. So I’m working on developing my next tracks to bring a deeper message to my writing and audience.

Buzz Slayers: Are you performing live right now? Any touring in support of the release?

Yeah I have a gig in London at The Star, in Shoreditch London on the 26th August to support my new single release.

Buzz Slayers: Now that this is out, what's next for you?

I’ve got several songs recorded, a couple nearly finished, an EP on the way… another big single drop before the end of the year and hopefully working on putting together a tour.

Buzz Slayers: Who's in your headphones right now?

Right this second I have some old school busta rhymes - gimme some more - aahahah

I have such a diverse range of musical tastes. I love all genres.

Buzz Slayers: What would you tell people they can expect on this release?

A fun catchy vibey song that will stick in their heads for days.

Buzz Slayers: Before we go, what would you like to express to fans of the music?

A huge thank you to everyone who has voted for me, taken the time to stream my music, sent me support messages, come to a live show. Having friends & fan support has gotten me to this stage and I could not have done this without them, all the kind words along the way. There are days when as an artist you doubt yourself then you receive the sweetest message from somebody saying you’ve inspired them somehow and it makes you realise why you started this in the first place. It’s like being a voice for the people who haven’t found theirs yet or daring enough to say what the person next to you wants to but just can’t.

I’m perfectly happy bearing my soul to the World. I’ve transformed my life over the last 6 years and I’m proud of how much I’ve overcome and if I can use music as a tool to help others then I’ve done my job right.
