An Aesthetically Warm and Impactful Release from The Transits

The Transits are back with a new single and video in true pop punk style, and this one sends such a massive message that is incredibly relatable to a lot of us, and this is one of the things I love about the band. They are constantly creating songs that have the right amount of drive, excitable energy, color, and edginess, and just addictive tonalities, but they also tend to have certain kinds of messaging.

This song showcases an example of a more impactful message. Sometimes they can release tracks that are more fun, whimsical, and still have a message, but it's one that isn't so serious.

This track boasts a message that means something, and it's one that we should all be listening to because we constantly forget about this in our day-to-day life.

The track is called "Live Today", and yes, the title says it all, but if you listen to the lyrics, it is more about being okay with all the things that you may have done wrong or feel like you've done wrong.

The song's messaging is about how sometimes we hold our mistakes too high, and we shouldn't value ourselves or rate ourselves by just those mistakes.

It's okay to make mistakes along the way because that's the game of Life. The song is about taking the reins and just living now. Being okay with who you are and rolling with it. Being excited, taking the jump, and just feeling something.

This is so important because again, a lot of us just forget about this. We have a lot of struggles that we deal with day to day, whether they be personal or external, and those tend to take over. A lot of us focus more on the negative than the positive, and if we make mistakes, we tend to cling to those.

To me, this track is about not letting those mistakes define you. Just letting them be a part of you. Because, as a whole, you are a person. You are human. You will make mistakes, but there's so much more to you, and you should just realize this and let it take over.

Now, this is an impactful message for a lot of us. Not just me, but many people who go through these kinds of inner thoughts.

The Transits are always touching on realities. Letting us be human because that's what we are.

I love this track because it also has a great musical approach that is sort of warm even though it's got the classic bass guitar punk tonality, great progressions and arrangement, but it's also got some synths and keys that kind of take over a little bit and I love that aspect because it does help the song feel welcoming.

When you listen to the track, it feels somewhat nostalgic in a strange way. And it's not the lyrics. It's the way the music is given off. It's the aura, energy, and aesthetic that this song puts out.

I think it's because it's got a little bit of a youthful undertone to it. It's like even as an older person, it takes a long time to realize that it's okay to live your life the way you want to live it. It's okay to have those mistakes under your belt and move on.

You're still here. That's important. Live for today. This song hit me a certain way, and it certainly packed a punch as much musically as it did lyrically.

Another thing I love about this band is the music video delivery. These guys always have some crazy music videos, whether it's just consistently taking clips and editing them together for days on end so that everything fits perfectly to the beats of the music, or filming something insane so that it looks so good it's like you're watching scenes of a film.

This video is the latter. Watching this video is like watching a film trailer. There's a storyline behind it, some amazing acting, a lot of action, and the sentiment of the song comes across with the visuals as much as it does musically in the end.

You can tell there's a lot of thought going behind the music video as well, so I feel like this is something a lot of fans should be paying attention to.

This was a driving track, and it was very fun, again, very warm feeling, and it touched a nerve for me as I'm sure it will for others.

The transits put music out there that is genuine, whether it be the more whimsical or fun, or the more serious, or maybe even somewhere in between.

Either way, you're always getting something authentic, and that's what we should be looking at here.

This is an awesome track, and I strongly suggest watching the music video to listen to it for the first time. If you haven't heard The Transits before, then just search The Transits on this blog.

We've done a bunch of reviews on these guys because they always put out amazing stuff but, even better, just go check out their YouTube or Spotify because again, some of these videos are outstanding and if you dig one song, you're going to end up digging them all.

This is the kind of band you hear, and you automatically love. Listen to their whole catalog because that's the kind of band these guys are.

They don't just put out one-off singles that define their entire aesthetic. Only listening to their albums and other releases really gives you a better idea of where these guys are coming from.

Anyway, check this out as soon as you can and watch this music video because it's awesome.
