A Wild New Single and Music Video from To Octavia

ree

A fiery new single release from To Octavia delivers a wild blend of nu-metal, grunge, elements of hardcore, and some screamo all rolled into this one impactful and addictive soundscape that comes through with the righteous energy, and it's just right.

"Talk Is Cheap" has both some amazing guitar work and inventive songwriting. A lot of thought went into the progression and arrangement of the track, but there's also this rambunctious element that breeds a little bit of looseness, beckoning a classic early 2000s grungy approach.

I certainly love this combination of genres and how they bend them to create something that feels like it's all their own.

One of the things that blows me away most about this track of the vocals. It seems like there are different sets of vocals throughout the track, and each approach has a different energy and range of intensity.

You have these melodic vocals that are sort of floating in the background through the song's ether and giving it this haunting undertone, to an extent, but also delivering these melodies that go right along with the song's progression.

The cool thing about that is the vocals are flowing and add this different texture to the aggressiveness of the guitars, so that it creates a particular atmosphere, and it works super well.

After that opening riff comes in, and you get the gist; it breaks down to a completely different feel. The song gets a bit more stripped down, where you can focus more on the vocals, which are then more high-speed almost rapping, and you can hear a lot of the honesty coming through in this song during those points.

I love how they go from this sort of electronic beat during those verses into a full heavy rock sound when it hits the choruses.

You definitely get that sort of rap and nu-metal Vibe throughout those choruses, and the way that they approach it is super high octane, so it gets really addictive.

For me, they brought something back to the table that's been missing for a little while. It was a little nostalgic because they were able to capture that sort of early 2000s nu-metal blend well.

There's also some amazing breakdown sections where you have the guitars doing high and low octaves, belting out this bending riff that just comes through ultra-heavy and adds a great element to the song, showcasing the outside-the-box thinking and approach to how they do their thing.

They are doing what they want, and because of that, they're approach is seamlessly blending all these different edgy genres.

You can hear the slew of different influences coming through in this one song alone, and from what we can tell, this track is a single that is to be part of an upcoming album set to be released this Halloween.

I definitely can't wait for that, especially if there are more songs like this on it.

Just from listening to this one single track, I can tell this album is going to have plenty of surprises around its corners and segments, riffs, and breakdowns that are going to make you want to jump a few feet in the air.

This is what I mean by bringing back something that's been missing.

They bring the groove back to a heavy rock and metal sound, and they're doing it with crazy energy and some inventive guitar work and songwriting, so that when you hear a song from To Octavia, you know it's them.

The song has an accompanying music video that also showcases the relentless energy of the band and how they put out that raw presence without being afraid.

Absolutely, check this one out as soon as you can and turn it up.

Remember where you heard it first.
