A Warm and Honest Single from Jackie Marks and Jon Loya

A warm and honest new single from Jackie Marks and Jon Loya brings out a lush and rustic undertone soundscape that feels genuine like it certainly came from someplace real, and this gives it hints of emotional drive along with this refreshing folk backbone and it all comes along with a wonderful character which is one of the things you end up getting attached to the most right from the get-go.

"Rearview" feels like a nostalgic recollection of sorts and when you listen to it can spark memories of your own to pop into your head at random and this is quite a beautiful connection to make.

You can hear elements of personal struggle and inner thoughts questioning herself during this beautiful vocal performance and this is something that humanizes the song so much and makes it so incredibly relatable to the listener that it becomes infectious.

This track is infused with these impactful vocal harmonies that at times can feel subtle but other times feel very robust and this along with a combination of acoustic and electric guitars adding elements that have notes sort of floating around in the song's ether create an atmosphere for you to fall right into and eventually just get washed away with.

Believe me when I tell you this feels amazing to do and the song has an impactful approach with a very personal tonality that lets you feel like it was maybe cathartic for them to write and release.

I'm not sure how often these two artists combine forces and collaborate, but I certainly feel like this was a match made in heaven in terms of creating something together that leaves a mark because this track certainly does that.

It was so wonderfully woven and put together with such great attention to detail but even so, it never loses its heart or the character that it was built from in the first place, and this might be the most important part of the entire thing.

Everything here is passionately delivered and I don't just mean the vocals, I mean the way the instruments are performed as well, and this track does have a great full band feel with drums bass lines and everything so don't get the idea that this is just a solo folk kind of song because it's not it has a bigger and more lush approach with great instrumentation and an amazing dynamic balance that lets the song feel alive and breathing as it flows in that forward movement.

This track certainly hit hard and it's for people that like music that lets you think or feel something which is what great heart is really all about if you think about it.

I think we all need music that lets us feel something or that does trigger thoughts and memories of our own because that's a beautiful thing, but as beautiful as it is, it doesn't come around that often so when you hear it like I did hear it's very impactful but also rejuvenating in a way.

When I listen to this track, I find myself pulled away from my surroundings for a little chunk of time and that is like a gift musically.

This comes from two great artists who put their hearts and minds together to create something meaningful to them and will be meaningful to a lot of others who listen to it.

A gorgeous song with just the right amount of charisma, honesty, personality, and warm tonality to pull you right in.

Remember where you heard it first.
