A fresh single release from Carpente & Pepper Gomez takes a trippy turn with a very cool and spacious undertone and delayed vocals that overlap each other, creating this swirling effect, and throughout it all, you have deepening synths that act as bass lines, and a driving beat that feels almost like classic house in a sense.
One of the coolest things about this single is how the vocals are used almost like instruments and how they can create these sorts of external feeling layers of sound and tone throughout the track while still being vocals themselves.
At times, they just perform these deepening sort of melodies that roll right along with that synth bass line and sort of freeing in a way.
You get the sense of something that is open-ended and without boundaries, which is kind of beautiful, and the whole thing actually does come through with an almost elegant approach.
Between the tones and the melodies, everything is graceful and flowing, lush, and beautiful.
You also have a sense of edginess happening here because some of that synth tone ends up getting a little harsher as time goes on, and the full beat comes in dynamically balanced so that it's not overpowering.
There's so much going on here in terms of these great layers, and at times it feels slightly scattered, but it is all put together very well at the same time. Things fit together in very particular ways and senses so that you end up getting sort of swallowed up by what this song delivers.
That sense of spaciousness is almost always there, and it brings with it the ability to swim through the sonic landscape that it's giving you, which is not something you come across often, so it felt pretty refreshing, to be honest.
It is experimental electronic with ethereal undertones. Emphasis on the experimental, of course. There was plenty of thought that went into how this would all come together, but you can also tell there were elements of improvisation, and the mix of the song is really what helped deliver that expansive and robust aesthetic and soundscape.
This was endlessly fun. There's something addictive about how it all comes together and how the aesthetic feels as a whole.
It's unique in that it blends genres and is sort of carefree in terms of getting your body to move, blending the styles and approaches that help build the song, not really conforming to particular genres themselves but rather creating a song that has a presence that puts you there in the moment.
It makes you want to dance. It makes you want to be a part of all this beautiful color and elegance that's happening throughout the track.
I love songs that put you right there in the moment, the way this one does.
Of course, that vastness and spacious undertone does indeed make it sort of cinematic in a way, but the way the vocals are put together lets the trippiness sort of override that, and those two elements together are what breed something special and unique.
The underbelly of it all has a very danceable beat and feel. It's hard not to move your body to this simply because it drives you. It does have that edginess and the slight air of alternative tonality, but it also has that sense of spirit and freedom at the same time.
I think those two things are really what help push the song along and make it something that you haven't really heard before.
The freeing and experimental aesthetic inside of this track is something you can be in awe of just because, when it's all over, you have to snap yourself back into reality again.
It's like a little escape. It pulls you away from the things that you're doing and puts you in a different headspace for a small period of time, and that is something I consider to be welcome when it comes to music.
This is one of the more experimental and psychedelically driving electronic and spiritually enticing singles that I've heard in a long time.
That sense of etherealism is very evident, and the dreaminess sort of invites you to join the party.
There is a color to this track; there are sets of colors, actually. They all come together and become whole.
There's also a slight sensual undertone to it vocally. It's alluring and becomes part of the personality behind the song itself.
All in all, this was super fun and not something that you just expect to hear. It breaks down some walls and some boundaries and is unafraid to just be itself, hence the whole freeing aesthetic.
Check this track out and do so with headphones on so you can pick up on everything that's really happening here. It's got some great builds and some great layers going on.
Headphones are always the best way to pick up on that stuff.
I'm sure you're going to enjoy this one, especially for you and dig any kind of music that reaches outside the box and breaks through boundaries to let genres stay genres and conform to boxes that you have to check off.
Dive into this one now and remember where you heard it first.
