A Powerful Single from Dark Remedy

Dark Remedy return with a massive and anthemic single that hits with such a powerful drive and sentiment that you get swept up in it.

"In The Wind" is the latest and greatest from the band and really speaks volumes for how these guys are able to put out tracks that hit with such impact and they're seeing that we're not strangers to the band and their releases, I can definitely tell you that these guys are outstanding at putting together choruses that are total bangers and have some emotional drive behind them so that they always stick with you.

This is obviously no exception whatsoever, as the chorus to this track is insanely powerful and really just showcases how they're able to take alternative rock and spin it into something that has layers of purpose and sentiment behind it.

One of the cool things about this track is that it has some experimental attributes to it including some fun and slightly off the wall guitar tones that float in the background of the track in certain sections of the verses or right before the big core is hits and listening to those kinds of sections let you know that there is a lot of attention to the details when it comes to the arrangement of the track.

They also produce such radio-ready soundscapes. These songs are the kind of tracks that are certainly very heavy, but again, they have that emotional build and backdrop, but it's something that always has this amazingly polished production.

This song was produced very well, and the way it was edited, mixed, and cut together is brilliant, ready for the airwaves, but still packs that massive punch.

Between the heavier sections, you have drifting and ambient ones with vocals that harmonize and have this kind of amp simulator effect on them, performed with a certain soulful approach, and you can hear that passion coming through in the recording itself.

This makes the song all the more impactful, so it's not just the heavy parts that hit hard; it's the softer parts where the emotion is there and you're getting some of the story and sentiment behind the song's premise.

This track is clearly about a struggle, one that has to do with a relationship where one party wants maybe a little too much and might be enjoying watching the other fall apart and struggle throughout it all.

Now, this is just part of how I took the song. I think that whoever listens to the track might take it a little bit differently, but at the same time, I do feel like the sentiment is pretty clear.

The lyrics talk of that struggle pretty clearly and with description in terms of the things he's going through during that.

This is why there's so much emotion behind the song. It came from some authentic place.

So during these softer sections, you're getting more of a glimpse into the story behind the song itself, and during the heavier sections, you're getting that sort of aggression or cut-off point where he's just had enough.

The softer parts during the verses are more sullen or sad, and the explosive and heavier parts have a little bit more aggression, so again, it's very emotionally driving, no matter which way you look at it.

The drumming on this track is just killer. It's super tight but also alive, so it adds to how the song is pushed forward and how big the overall sound is sonically, but it also gives a liveliness to the flow of the track.

It's kind of amazing how a song like this can be so melodic, emotional, honest, and still so heavy. I think I just really enjoy that combination because I love heavy music, but I also love music that is genuine and comes from some real place.

I think a lot of people get into music that makes them feel something. If you're someone who loves heavy rock, alternative rock, metal, progressive rock, or anything heavy, but also loves emotional music that makes you think or feel, this song is totally for you.

Dark Remedy never ceases to amaze me, and with each track they release, I think they step their game up.

This track is certainly one of the best I've heard from the band, and not saying a lot because they always drop songs that are bountifully impactful and hit with a fierce sort of fire behind them.

Still, this track sits at the top of the mountain for me. It's almost like they've outdone themselves but still kept to some of those staples that make them, well... them.

I would absolutely check this track out, and once you see how powerful it can be, then I would check out tracks like "Let Me Go", which was dropped earlier this year and is absolutely outstanding, along with songs like "Killing Me" released last year.

These are all massively intense releases, and if you like one of them, you're definitely going to dig them all.

Check the stuff out as soon as you can and turn it way up.

Remember where you heard all of this first.
