A New Single from Until Dusk Fades Gets Personal and Heavy

ree

Until Dusk Fades returns with a massive and blistering new single that bears a lot of emotional and bountiful approaches because the song comes from an honest place, as most songs from the project do. This one hits in a particular way because it's so relatable and is portrayed with a cross between certain elements of sadness or sullenness, but massive aggression as well.

"Something Left Behind" is a huge track that showcases the artists amazing ability to bring together such deepening heaviness with riffs and guitars that are dropped down to give a rumbling effect, overlaying guitars that thrash out and help push the element of tension that the song delivers, and also this almost graceful undertone that adds a bit of spaciousness to everything.

There's a lot of gothic edge and darkness to this one, and amongst it all, you also have elements of a brooding death metal, a closed-fisted thrashing speed metal, and still those areas of vastness that come into play throughout the track, giving it segments of calm before the storm.

This song seems to come from a space that the songwriter knows about from personal experience, and it's one that a lot of us can understand.

The song talks about the emotion behind a breakup or even a divorce. How the pain and struggle are hurtful in the beginning, but after some time, you start to heal and find yourself again.

For some of us, we have lost ourselves, but in a situation like this, there is more time to find out who we are as people once more.

So, there's a lot of struggle because the situation calls for it, of course. However, there's also light at the end of the tunnel and an almost rebirth of your persona and an understanding that you are here for a reason.

There's a lot to dig into with this track, and I find it amazing how Until Dusk Fades can pull together such lush emotion and understanding, vulnerability, and authenticity and spin it into something that just spits out all of this massive emotion.

It is a very intense song, but in the true fashion of the project, there is again, this is sort of dark Beauty to everything, and that light at the end of the tunnel.

The vocals are fierce and edgy, and there are layers of amazing guitar work that come through, giving the song this beautifully full-bodied soundscape while still remaining heavy and very thrashing.

The reason a speed, thrash, or death metal approach works so well for this kind of topic is because of the emotion that's involved.

A huge portion of what you feel upon a breakup or divorce has to do with aggression. You're angry at first, and this anger is displayed amazingly with this single, but so are the other emotions that unfold as time goes on.

Again, you have the sadness, the aggression, the understanding, the acceptance, and the rebirth.

All of this is covered in this single, and if you are into any sort of well-woven metal, this is going to be for you.

This is metal with a message. It's coming from such a personal place, and you don't always hear songs that are in a death metal sort of form coming from such a passionate and heartfelt place.

I think it takes a lot for the songwriter to be able to put that together and not only that, but perform everything and put it all together so that it makes sense and those emotions shine through.

This was a massive single, and it speaks a lot for the project's songwriter, Carli Zakk.

This is someone who's really able to put a lot into their music and do it in a way that delivers a message packed with actual personality.

The guitar work is also amazing, as usual, and the arrangement and songwriting have a great flow, but that's all part of the staples for Until Dusk Fades.

Check out this new one as soon as you can.

Remember where you heard it first.
