A new single release from Iboreh serves as a call out to the world we live in today, with technology always tracking us, listening to us, and following our whereabouts. It's a song that displays the sentiment of just being tired of it. Wanting to disappear, live off the grid, or be anonymous.
It's true. It's very hard to be anonymous in this day and age. Especially when we have phones in our pockets or our hands constantly, cameras watching our movements from street lights, and plenty more.
I found this track to be so enlightening simply because when you listen to you realize it's so true. The more you listen to the song, the more you, yourself, wish you were just anonymous and could disappear off the radar from every technological post possible.
What's cool about this track is that it's put in such rare and straightforward terms. He's just tired of it all, and it's something all of us can relate to.
I think even influencers get tired of it at times. Sure, they make money from posting and all that stuff. I'm sure they get tired of knowing that they're being followed, talking about something, and then having ads pop up for it, and everything else we have to deal with in terms of things being pushed upon us all the time.
I think people are listening and watching all too much.
So does Isobeh, and this track exemplifies all the inner thoughts none of us say out loud enough.
"I Wanna Be Anonymous" is like an anthem to the unspoken truth that we are all thinking. We don't want to be watched anymore. We don't want to be followed or listened to anymore.
The lyrical approach is brilliant because again, it's so straightforward, blunt, and relatable that you can't turn away from it.
This is a robust and very energetic track that breeds electronic and pop damn near perfectly.
It's got a driving beat, amazing synth work, and there's a lot of attention paid to the tones of the instruments being used.
I dig this a lot because it gives me little bouts of nostalgia at certain points. It calls back to '80s and even '90s synth style music, dance pop, and even EDM.
It's got a super memorable, massive chorus that is almost like a closed-fisted Anthem that you can sing along with, with your hands in the air.
The single definitely boasts a heavy-handed groove as well. It's insanely danceable to the point where it's actually hard not to move your body when you listen to this track, especially when it gets to the chorus.
I think one of the things that makes this so memorable is the energy level. It never lets up, it's always sort of up there and pushing the envelope ever so slightly, and you can tell that the artist is having an absolute ball.
This was addictive, and showcases the slew of influences that the artist holds close to his heart by way of introducing elements that bend genres at times.
There are also some guitars in there that have little hooks here and there, layers of different textures among the keys and the synthesizers, and the vocals are just bright, vivacious, and charismatic.
This is an example of a track that breeds a wonderfully woven pop overtone that comes through a bit unafraid and also speaks volumes for an artist who wants to make statements with his music.
So, you get all this great pop dance ability, hooks left and right, and intense energy, breeding colorful and vivacious approaches and soundscapes, while you still have this message that we can all relate to at the same time.
That's something you don't get every day, so when you hear it, it's quite refreshing.
The addition of a sort of tambourine-sounding extra rhythm during those choruses really helps it drive through the roof, and the entire track just has this spirited feel, while still keeping to that same statement and sentiment that it was built from.
This was definitely a really fun single.
Upon listening to this, I actually checked out a few other singles, including one called "Am I Really Dreaming?" which also displayed such unique synthesizers and a great approach to danceable and driving electronic music.
You can clearly tell that this is an artist who puts a lot into what he's doing creatively and has a certain kind of vision for his music.
After digging in a bit deeper, I realized I wanted to have a conversation with Iboreh so I could find out more about where this track came from, what helped him become the creative musician he is today, and what the future may hold.
So, while you dig into this track and others, have a read through of our interview with the artist below.
Do not forget what you heard about this first.
Let's talk about "I Wanna Be Anonymous"! This song hit a very vibrant pop-rock feel with alternative undertones for sure! Where did this track come from?
Well, as all of us know, we are not anonymous. We've just have to check our social networks, the cameras on the street, your Alexa speaker.... There are Big Brothers looking at you, spying your movements, trying to find your desires. This is what made me think that a song, inspired by this idea, should act as a reminder of what is happening now on the Internet.
I'm hearing a few different approaches to this single! Who are some of your biggest musical influences?
Yeah, there are not one or two bands that inspired me: LCD Soundsystems, Chemical Brothers, Depeche mode, Michael Jackson, Hot chip.... All of them mixed electronic and rock, all of them aware of social problems, and all of them experimenting with different music approaches.
Did you record this at a home setup, or at a big studio?
At a mix of them. Voices,, organic drums, and guitars were recorded at a big studio, here in Spain : Ogan Studio, but the rest at my home studio. a kind of professional ones.
How did this all start for you as an artist?
My first solo single (Life is insanity) was launched in 2023, with great effort besides , after another band project (The Castor Projects), and because I needed to let my internal voices take their seat in the music market. The idea of creating my own songs, after the pandemia, was something rounding my head for a long time, but after a near friend insisted day by day, I realized that there was something interesting to be shown.
Are you performing live right now?
Yes, of course. After a great 2025 in which I had the opportunity to play at a big festival (Mallorca Live Festival), this 2026 it's full of gigs in Spain: Madrid, León, Barcelona, and...some surprise.
I would really like to play in other continents, rather than Europe. For example countries like the USA, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay,....
Now that this is out, what's next for you?
I am preparing a new album, with 10 great songs inspired in the world problems: War, poverty, politics, faith...
Who's in your headphones right now?
I never get tired of hearing Justice, as a way of inspiration.
What would you tell people they can expect on this release?
Empower. Take control of your world.
Before we go, what would you like to express to fans of the music?
Do what you wanna do, be who you wanna be, share your love , and your music, as much as you can, because if you share, we can be heard all over the world.
