A New Release from AN ESMM brings a Wonderful Aesthetic

A recent release from AM ESMM brings out a combination of genres that feel like they come from elements of ethereal and new wave, along with bits of alternative pop and an approach that brings together a little bit of edginess with a vast undertone and flow that lets the song swim around in the air that's around you.

"Be OK" features some amazing synth work and the tone and soundscape they deliver are part of how the song feels so expansive and almost peaceful because of the chords and progression.

The synth tones are part of why the song has a vintage or classic new wave kind of feel. I love this aspect simply because it gives me a little bout of nostalgia at times but the beat that overlays those synths is heavy and feels almost like a rock drum beat so, that combination brings out a unique aesthetic.

Again, the progression gives a sense of calmness and peacefulness which is part of why the song flows the way it does. It carries a sense of cinematic backbone and comes through with a bit of color.

The vocals are almost like an instrument themselves in this song. They add a layer of texture and melody to the track that makes it more addicting and in bed certain kinds of hooks in your head so much that you end up humming those melodies long after the song has ended.

The vocals on this one are also sort of calm and alluring. I find that the blending of digital instrumentation and natural vocals feels seamless.

The song has a pop overcoat which I enjoyed and captures great energy.

Upon listening to the single, I took a deep dive into the artist's back catalog.

This was great as there were a lot of releases to enjoy including a song called "Change" that was released earlier this year and also showcases a bit of that staple feel AM ESMM gives off.

You have a driving beat and the synths are a little edgier on this one at times but the vocal melody takes the cake.

I think this artist has a knack for creating these experimental songs that are a bit outside the box and inventive which I found refreshing. There always seems to be something new and different he brings to the table with the releases and a lot of the time, it's those vocal melodies that float around in your head making you want to go back and listen to the song again as soon as it's over.

This form of digital, experimental, and synth-based songwriting is very addictive and the artist has released several singles in the past few years alone that embody his approach.

I would suggest starting with "Be OK" and then working your way through the back catalog.

It's one of the best ways to really get a grasp of the artist's evolution and songwriting.

You can hear that he has a real love for the craft of creating and the songs have some good messaging behind them along with plenty of heart and personality.

Listening to these songs with headphones on is the way to go. You can then really catch all of the layers and textures they have to offer.

Take a deep dive into this single and the rest of the previous releases from AM ESMM. Remember where you heard it first.
