A Massive Rock Album from Terror Garden

A new album release from Terror Garden delivers a righteous blend of hard rock, metal, and alternative rock all blended into one fat release that packs a hell of a punch but also delivers a lot of character along with that and I feel like that's part of what you get attached to right from the get-go.

The Psychotic Disorderly Magick album wastes very little time grabbing your attention with hard-hitting guitar riffs and tones that bring on a massive sonic drive.

What hits the most about this record is its unbelievable electric energy and because of that they really manage a way to make this feel like it was recorded live on the floor at least to some extent as all the players involved are just feeding off of each other and that's the kind of thing that drives the song even further so that they can push the envelope and land exactly where they want to.

This record is heavy in the best ways. It's not super brutal with trudging riffs and palm mutes left and right. It's not straight metal. It's got this great blending combination of styles that have sold to the riffs so the music is something that you can head bang with, jump around the room with, or sing along with with your fists in the air.

Even if I'm wrong about the whole live on the floor thing, listening to this record makes you want to go see them live simply because this kind of energy captured on record is a bit of a rarity so when you hear it on the album, it makes you want to go see them live in your face.

I love how they capture this kind of arena rock undertone with certain choruses on songs feeling really huge and just anthemic.

You have gigantic crew vocals that chant giving elements of old-school punk rock at times, great breakdowns, the drumming is insane and again, only helps push that edginess.

This is a record with layers and it's also the kind of album that you want to listen to from beginning to end simply because if you listen to just a few tracks, yes you might get a little bit of a gist of what's to come, but you don't get anywhere near the full spectrum of what the album actually has to offer.

The vocalist is an absolute powerhouse and has an amazing dynamic balance and range to how he sings so that when songs are bigger and harder he belts bigger and harder as well so he's able to sort of fit that character to each song very well.

This is really important because a lot of times you'll have a heavy rock band like this where the riffs are sick and the drumming is amazing, the bass is fat and juicy, everything fits well but then the vocals kind of ruins it sometimes.

Either they're a little bit weak in their performance or just don't feel like it fits.

This is so refreshing because the vocalist pulls everything off and makes everything sound even more robust with each track and I love the progression of how the album unfolds as well.

This was hard-hitting exactly where I needed to be, it was catchy and there were just as many riffs and guitar parts as there were banging choruses that stick in your head for hours or sometimes days after the songs have ended.

This is something I adore because the only way to satiate that is to go and listen to the record again.

These guys have a real love for their craft, and I don't just mean playing their instruments or singing. I mean writing songs together that come out as gigantic arena rock bangers.

But don't just take my word for it, dig into this album, and again I urge you to listen to the whole thing so you can really soak in everything it has to offer.

Don't be afraid to turn it up and remember where you heard it first.
