A Classic New EP from Erman Badalov & Pepper Gomez

A new release from Erman Badalov and Pepper Gomez brings their energies together to create something unique and special, as the track comes bursting with this classic dance pop and house undertone, color, brightness, a little bit of vastness in its underbelly, and a lot of purpose.

The Change EP consists of the single itself, along with five different remixes, each capturing a different aura and presence, aesthetic, and tonality that still work very well for the song but bring these other attributes to the table so that you have a different vibe to chew on.

The track is a bit of a deep one, and it's about searching for something that can be yours and yours alone. Something you can share with someone else, but is also yours. The track focuses on how music itself is the great communicator and the place of Peace for some of us, including vocalist and songwriter Pepper Gomez.

The track holds little back in terms of letting out some of those feelings and a bit of the emotion that comes along with wanting your world to change, and having this light at the end of the tunnel at all times can be difficult, but it also points towards that direction.

Sometimes things can get difficult. There are loads of struggles, imbalances, situations, just life. Life can get in the way of your passions and things that you love or want, but there's always the light at the end of the tunnel.

This can also be taken on a grander scale, and just wanting the world to change for a better place in general. I think it depends on who's listening.

For those of us who are artists ourselves, the song is about finding that inner peace through our art. Changing our own worlds even if we share that with another.

This is a heavy-handed premise because it's something that feels existential, to an extent. Being able to change our world is a state of mind for a lot of us. It's just hard to get into that particular state.

So, we turn to the things that we love. Our passions hold our hearts and our hearts direct us.

This was quite a beautiful song, and I found it to be not only enticing but beautifully constructed with some classic, almost '90s pop and dance undertones along with vibrant vocals that are sort of robust and almost theatrical in a way.

The original version of the song, which is my favorite, gives you all of that. It gives you the aesthetic, aura, energy, balance, spiritual hint work, and charismatic approach, along with plenty of heart.

Blending some old school synths and keys into the mix gives it that hint of vintage tonality, and it just works like an absolute charm.

As I mentioned earlier, there are several different mixes on this record. One of them is just a radio mix, which is absolutely the same as the original but shorter in length, having certain sections cut out to bring it down in time.

There are dub mixes and different kinds of dream mixes, which are really where things get interesting.

The "Change (Queer Dream Remix)" is certainly something special and gives the song a different set of textures to work off of.

It has a bit of a different flow with more airy sounds and a spacious feel, but that sentiment and aesthetic are always right there.

The intensity of the vocals still comes through with shining colors, driving the song.

I enjoyed all the remixes, but for me personally, the original version of the song is really where it's at. This hit home in a particular sense.

Growing up listening to different kinds of music, classic house, dub, dance, and pop were always on the menu, and this track really managed to capture this classic aesthetic for me to the point where I got little bouts of nostalgia along the way.

The whole thing was produced with a lot of attention to detail and plenty of love, along with an outcry of ultra creativity that allowed them to keep doing these wonderful remixes and still have them come across with this robust message that you end up hanging on to.

Definitely check this out, but start with the original and absolutely listen to the rest of them.

As I mentioned before, most of them have something pretty unique and different to offer and are gorgeous takes on the original version.

Dive into this one right now and remember where you heard it first.
