Van Horton: The Pulse of Community and Sound Synthwave artist Van Horton has been involved in the North Carolina music community for over 20 years, starting out as a resident DJ and Production Manager for NC State’s WKNC-FM in 2003. Since then he has gone onto win an Emmy Award in 2006. Known for his signature retrowave sound, he has gone onto release six synthwave albums that have garnered attention and critical acclaim across the globe.
