Ty Smith & The Minor Offenses

Ty Smith, a rising star in red dirt and Texas country music, grew up just outside Tulsa in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. His musical influences span a range of iconic acts, including American Aquarium, Shane Smith and the Saints, William Clark Green, and the Turnpike Troubadours. With music in his blood, Ty's early exposure came from his grandmother, who owned a live music venue. He practically grew up on stage, playing his toy guitar alongside bands until his passion turned into a career. By age 15, Ty was headlining his own album release party at The Shrine in Tulsa, supported by his friends, The Teague Brothers Band. His debut album, Ty Smith & The Minor Offenses, quickly garnered attention from red dirt and Texas country fans alike. His first single, Rocky Mountain Pines, released in May 2023, reached the Top 40 on the Texas country charts and gained over 27,000 streams on Spotify. Following that success, his second single, Wonderland, climbed into the Top 25 in September 2023, also surpassing 27,000 Spotify streams. His most recent release, Words I Should’ve Said, hit the airwaves in March 2024, reaching the Top 30 with over 5,000 streams. With a string of successful chart performances and streams, Ty has earned prestigious nominations, including TCMA Young Artist of the Year and Josie Award Young Male Adult Artist of the Year for 2024. In the summer of 2024, Ty assembled his current band, which adds a rich, layered sound to his performances. Stephen Morgan, a versatile guitarist and experienced sound technician, holds down the bass and provides backing vocals. Chris Holt, on drums, brings a rhythmic legacy, as his father once opened for legends like Roy Orbison and Hank Williams Jr. Completing the group is Jeremy Neal, a lead guitarist with a flair for killer riffs and electrifying solos. With a soulful voice and songwriting well beyond his years, Ty Smith has already made waves at just 16 years old. His Texas country sound, coupled with the undeniable talent of his band, makes him an artist to watch in the red dirt scene.
