Hawaii based female artist singer, songwriter, musician, producer Terese Hanses is producing soul stirring nuanced Pop/Dance music which is truly a cause for celebration! Terese is a professional session singer/songwriter and has worked with many iconic artists such as; Chaka Khan, Randy Meisner (Eagles), Meat Loaf, Kim Karnes, and the lead singer for The Beverly Hills Pop's Orchestra and The San Diego Symphony. She also appeared as a singer songwriter in several feature films, and has written songs for many hit TV series. Her latest dance release "In the Summertime" will get your heart pumping even if you're dead (oops that was a type-o!) Who knows, if you've had an especially rough day-you you may even appreciate this song more than throwing yourself off a bridge! Terese produced this soul-stirring song to bring into focus the enthusiasm we all have for the sweet hot Summertime! It was inspired to heat up your senses and to elevate those positive Summertime emotions in the listener. This song is beautifully produced and profoundly melodic. The arrangement starts out with Terese's unusual haunting vocalized intro, dropping into the powerfully hooky chorus followed by sexy sultry verses leading into a soaring pre-chorus dropping back into the catchy hook! Music Supervisors and several music producers and artists have commented that the song has universal Earthy appeal making her sound appropriate for a wide listening cross border audience. Terese delivers a hauntingly evocative vocal performance which exudes an essence akin to what could be described as an ancient cosmic ethos, richly lustrous, smooth yet powerfully sensual. Her songs transport the listener on a journey to exotically beautiful places. Terese's You Tube channel is like a musical odyssey richly combined with visuals of some of the most spectacular places on Earth. It is pure escapism. The overall production value is unique with nuanced musical parts which are thickly layered yet not cluttered. She often uses chordal structured inversions which intentionally creates rich harmonic soothing frequencies throughout the mix. The densely layered bass and drums beats are infectious and swinging. The production exudes a shimmering pulsing synth driven 1980's Pop vibe for the modern era. Each time you listen to her upbeat songs you will likely hear new ear candy that you may have missed the first time. A personal artist note: The objective of my artistry was always to entertain without sacrificing my own passion and authenticity. Because I always work solo, it's easy to become lost in the right brain left brain contest. I am on a constant quest to train myself to listen objectively to the meshing of the two sides so as not to compromise the desired result. I enjoy being creative and technical and to keep improving the technical while spreading my wings and trying out fresh new ideas which is always challenging. Artistry laid bare...(yeah as a matter of fact, it often feels like I am laying myself out there bare naked to the world.) When it comes down to it making music for me is really a deep expression of who I am coupled with a belief system that I can talk myself out of or into. I will confess that the temptation is always to overdo it. I have to be my own best critic when coming up with instrumental parts which means filtering out excess parts that do not significantly contribute to whole. Creative objectivity is the hardest part when crafting a song and then playing each instrument in the production and then developing a suitable arrangement, engineering and final mixing. I immerse myself in the process and spend many months to fine tune every part of the production. (I know TMI right?) A big heartfelt thank you for listening to my music, it is my exquisite honor that you did. It's never too late to do what you love.
