Stevie Violet Ramps Up For A New Album With Her Latest Single "Talk"

Stevie Violet returns with a new single that showcases a lot of that inner thought that comes spilling out for all to soak in, and in doing so, she delivers loads of character in such a relatable sense that you can pick up on everything she's saying.

What I love about this artist is her straightforward honesty. "Talk" does actually have a bit of a vulnerable undertone to it because she digs into a lot of how she feels inside. She doesn't hold a lot back; she's very unafraid to just put it all out there, and not only is that a little bit brave, but she does it in a way that you can actually connect with.

All these attributes really feel like this is just Stevie in her zone. I think she uses her music to get certain things off her chest, and this track is a perfect example of exactly that.

A little rambunctious when it gets towards the chorus. I love this blend of clean or acoustic guitar, with an almost garage-rock approach when it hits the chorus sections.

Now, don't get me wrong, it doesn't get super heavy or anything, it just gets a little wild. The drumming has a lot to do with that.

The drummer accentuates those crash symbols and hits things a bit harder when that course comes up, and this is because those are the climactic moments of the song.

Stevie has this indie pop style voice, but it's the honesty in the lyrics that aligns with that approach so well.

She's got some great harmonies, especially during that course section where she layers those vocals on and thickens things up. The guitars have a different tone to them; again, the drums are slamming a bit, and the song just has a harder feel.

From an emotional standpoint, this is her frustration. She's expressing certain struggles and worries. She's wondering about things and what she's doing right or wrong. The frustration of all this stuff hits the pinnacle at those courses, so everything just becomes a bit explosive.

She's got a great approach to singing. Stevie has a particular way of sort of bending notes, and it makes things feel a bit unique.

As the song unfolds, it does get a bit heavier. The guitars are distorted, everything rocks harder, and that's why I bring up genres like garage rock. It's not necessarily an alternative, but rather a dirtier feel, bringing in the wildness of all the attitude and vocal layers, displaying the tension she has.

It's really impressive how she follows suit and holds on to that character throughout the entire track. The way it's arranged lets the song feel breathing and alive. I would like this quite a bit as well.

During the verses, when the guitars are clean or acoustic, you are sucked into those vocals and the honesty. You know it's leading up to a more explosive section, so you wait for it, and then, when it hits, it's perfected.

So, the arrangement of how she writes music is definitely a heavy player when it comes to how the songs come through in the end game.

Those arrangements are well thought out so that you can flow along with the song, and she lets the emotional backbone guide things in a sense.

By the end of the track, she's belting out, doing great harmonies, and the whole thing hits a sort of grunge feel.

As I said before, those drums are just blistering, the guitars are at their heaviest, and everything about the song is full throttle by this point.

This is a big move for Stevie, and it certainly displays a different side to her personality.

If you're not yet too familiar with the artist, you can certainly check this song out now, but I would also suggest listening to songs like "Kaleidoscope" or "BBG".

Doing this will show you some of the other sides to her personality and Artistry as well.

As far as we can tell, this single is leading us up to a bigger release, and we will be looking out for that as well.

For now, this track will certainly keep me at bay.

Check this out now and dig into some of her previous releases as well.

You won't be sorry.

Remember where you heard this first.
