Ross Kessler

Ross Kessler is an Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist. A musician based in Toowoomba, Queensland (with earlier ties to areas like Byron Bay and Crescent Head). He has been active in music for around 45 years, crafting songs across a wide range of subjects and genres, including rock, blues, funk, jazz, and groove-oriented styles. He is best known for his 2004 album Beach Front Home, which features laid-back, coastal-vibe tracks like “Livin a Life of Love,” “Hang’n Out,” and the title song—reflecting his passion for surfing, love, and guitar-driven songwriting. He has released various singles over the years, such as “Laughter Is the Best Medicine” (2021), “Livin a Life of Love” (2004) and the just released 2026 album I Married A Shrink. Ross often performs live with his band GARAGE FUNK blending authentic funk, rock, blues, and infectious grooves, and has appeared at venues like Banshees Bar, Bone Idol, the Irish Club Hotel, and events in Toowoomba. His style draws from many influences and it has built a uniqueness into his song writing. He maintains an active presence on platforms like Facebook (Ross Kessler Music & Rossco’s Jazz Funk & Groove Jam), SoundCloud, Spotify, and Apple Music.
