Pure Orchids

Pure Orchids is an alternative rock studio project with a focus on melancholic sounds. The band began with Bruce Macchione (Guitar) and Ian Yori (Bass) joining forces in the studio, throwing together a couple of jams that had a raw & retro feel to them. The two had originally met when playing together in a New Jersey based hardcore band where the musical chemistry would click instantly between the two instrumentalists. Bruce would eventually meet Bella Ashton (Vocals) during a shared watercolor painting class at their university, hitting it off immediately based on their shared passion for all things creative. Bella was given the opportunity to sing for the band based off of a demo track Ian and Bruce had been working on. This track would eventually come to be the band's first single, “Flood Gates.”
