Mainly rock/metal as his go to genre; and lately his own experimentation via an exploration of various instrument/hardware/software combinations! What the same has resulted in is a discovery of fresh sounds, new to the ears, and full of surprise, with unpredictability at every turn! Be it timely drops and bridges; consistent with their rhythmic approach, or the obvious melodic influences reminiscent of formative years! While not exactly a seasoned guitar player by the book, the keen ear philojain possesses for the given finer nuances of all things riffs and twangs; even at times intertwining the same for our listening pleasure; what philojain has gone ahead and done is rather casually forged a path for himself in literally making sure that the listener does not leave unsatiated. Call it a chance hobby now fulfilled, but the same has been made available on all leading music platforms online for a listening session full of wonder that may as well have the reader coming back for more! In addition to the music having been made available in all of it’s 96000 Khz glory, there is ample use of subwoofer bass, at times even incorporating bass guitars to the fullest. Needless to mention this is sheer auditory pleasure for any given metalhead/guitarhead! Do check out his able musical endeavour; a total of 18 albums have been released / are releasing shortly, as an expression of the said exploration/discovery owing (to) decades of passionate perusal of varying genres of music at his disposal, with the same culminating in the apt use of attempting a different approach per given album! Now, when you think of it, 18 albums; all leading to the eternal metal quest of the most unpredictable riffing ever encountered, albeit as well thought out as ‘algoriffm’ interventions, as philojain calls them; makes one wonder what not now is possible on the contemporary music scene!
