Playin' It Cool
On Being an Angel blends pop melodies with fuzzy guitars and driving beats that bring to mind the bubble grunge era of the 90s. The band has become a chameleon in the Austin music scene, opening for Quicksand one night then softening for a stripped down duo set with Julie Doiron the next. Last year, they supported The Lemonheads on their 30th anniversary It's A Shame About Ray tour, and in October, they will support Juliana Hatfield on a string of Midwest dates. With their debut vinyl release of their new single "Playin It Cool" on November 3rd, they will also join Juliana Hatfield on the American Laundromat Records roster.
