Mark Antares
Mark Antares is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, and sonic storyteller pioneering Retrowave Desert Rock. Emerging from the legendary Salt Lake City scene where he earned his stripes as a celebrated local guitar hero, Antares has evolved into a true groovebox master of the universe. Operating out of the neon-hued expanses of the American West, he builds his cinematic soundscapes entirely from scratch—fusing fuzzed-out live guitar leads with analog hardware synths and heavy grooves punched out on the MPC. Moving away from disposable single drops, his self-produced releases bridge the gap between late-night 1980s highway drives and gritty indie soul, creating an immersive soundtrack for the midnight traveler.
