Killed By Cupid Just Dropped a New Single

A new single release from Killed by Cupid delivers a unique alternative bubblegum pop soundscape that comes through with an amazing dynamic balance of edginess, honesty, color, and personality all rolled up into a song that boasts a soundscape that you can dance to and the song ends up being a youthful anthem in its own way.

"Boys Are Easy (But You'll Never Find A Girl Like Me)" definitely gets into the personal inner thought of a relationship at its close and a lot of the emotional drive that comes with that.

It feels so authentic that you know it came from a genuine place and real-life experience which is important here because the artist is giving pieces of themselves throughout this track and that's part of what makes it relatable and connective to the listener.

Aside from the personal attributes, the honesty, and the inner thought coming out, the track has a great drive to it and the production is outstanding as it balances this electro-pop and alternative pop feel but brings in a flurry of outstanding synth and beat work to freshen things up and it all comes through with a bit of a punch.

I love tracks like this because it has a warmth to it because of that honesty and the realness behind the premise of it. Still, it also has again, that sort of punchy and boppy feel that ends up with a pop-coated and polished vibe but it also edges on that almost lo-fi approach as well, so the track has an underground but also mainstream feel simultaneously.

All kinds of outstanding synth textures and builds, pads and sharp square sounds blend together seamlessly and this is what gives the song an atmosphere of its own which is something you end up falling right into.

It builds extremely well because, in the beginning, it keeps to just that main sense and the vocal but by the time you get into the song it's got a very robust and sort of lush approach to it, while still keeping things nice and edgy but colorful.

There's something strangely cinematic about the track as well, like you could definitely see it in the scene of a film or a TV show because it feels so current and refreshing. I love the balance and bending of genres throughout this track and how it kind of creates its own approach altogether.

I think that this is what the future of pop is moving towards. A pop song that blends numerous subgenres to create something new. These are the things that feel youthful. These are the things that feel freeing, and this is a perfect example of a song released with much fewer walls built around it and much fewer boundaries than what would be considered the norm.

All in all, this track was very fun, very danceable, but had that serious undertone to it because of its sentiment and what it was about. That emotional drive was there and loud while you still got that character and personality delivered right in your face.

I suppose this would be considered emo pop in a way while others would call it bubblegum pop but to me, it's just youthful pop and this is the new phase of what we can expect in the world of the genre to come.

I think artists like Killed by Cupid stand on the forefront and the cusp of this point in pop music and there will be more to follow.

This was a brilliant song that hit exactly the way it was meant to, came through the charismatic and completely nailed aesthetic, and will stick with you for a while after it's ended.

Check this track out as it's brand new today and remember where you heard it first.
