Katie Wright developed a love of music from a young age, but it wasn’t until dealing with a diagnosis of a life-threatening condition called Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (VEDS) that she started to write her own music. After several hospitalizations and ongoing uncertainty, she released her debut concept album, “Glitter” on August 31, 2025. The album takes the listener through a journey of diagnosis, loss, hospitalization and a deep desire to make positive change for herself and others. Katie wrote this album as a way to process her emotions and find a way back to a place of hope. She plans to continue her musical journey and is currently working on writing songs her next album. Listeners have described her music as emotional, authentic, and raw, with a distinctive rock-acoustic and pop-ballad sound. Katie is also known for her podcast, Staying Connected, where she interviews people dealing with similar conditions as her own, and for previously directing The VEDS Movement, a division of The Marfan Foundation.
