An absolutely refreshing new release from Karina Nistal manages to deliver a bright and very colorful dance pop approach that blends elements of electronic, synth-pop, and more, while all staying true to her sound and giving a driving and pop-coated approach from start to finish.
"Feel The Love" is a track about getting attention and affection from the one that you love and feeling good about it. It delves into the simplicities of wanting the attention from that person, getting it, and then wanting to give it right back.
I like this sentiment simply because it touches on the honeymoon phase of a relationship, and no matter what phase you're actually in, getting the attention from the person that you're with feels amazing.
Karina is able to capture that very well on the track. Her vivacious energy is thriving all the way through to the end of the song, and you can hear the influences of classic, almost '80s pop approaches with synthesizers that have brilliant texture and melody.
She takes that classic sort of Madonna-style synth and brings it into more of an upbeat classic dance style, and it works amazingly here because she's able to breed her own sound and deliver her own vision.
One of the more addictive elements of this track is the groove. She's always releasing songs that have heart; this one is no exception.
It's really hard not to move your body to this song. If you're driving in the car, you're going to start popping along in your seat, but if you're at home, be sure to move the couch back, because you're going to be dancing around the living room to no end.
This is a hands-in-the-air, sing-along, classic, and I love how she's able to deliver this wholeheartedly, bringing out such a deep sentiment but being lighthearted about it at the same time.
It's a feel-good, super spirited single, and her vocals are just robust throughout this entire thing.
It makes you want to watch her recorded in the vocal booth. It makes you want to go see her performing live in person.
You want to feel that energy and the way that she sings and has such a boisterous and soulful vocal, along with the endless and bright energy, is completely infectious.
You have layers of different keys and synths that are going through the track, all very classic, to me. It gives you a sort of '90s vibe as well. A '90s dance-pop vibe that is.
I feel like she definitely has a slew of influences under her belt, and she pulls some of the more youthful ones together for this track.
When you listen to the song, you can tell she's having an awesome time, even just recording it.
It has that sort of EDM, house sound to it, which is great because it keeps that energy high and gives the song that exciting and electric approach and aesthetic.
You definitely have plenty of character attached to this single and I feel like it's something that is a brilliant track to start your day with.
Again, this is super feel-good and spirited, so if you start your day listening to this track, it'll just set the tone for the rest of it.
I'm sure your day will have plenty of things that come with it, but starting it off with a song like this makes you feel like not much can get in your way.
The combination of soulful, powerful, and just big vocals works amazingly with the sonic presence of this single, and this is a song you listen to loud.
As I said before, you'll be singing along with it by about halfway through.
Now, if you're not too familiar with Karina's music, I suggest delving into her Spotify or Bandcamp a little further because she's very diverse in her approaches and songwriting.
She definitely can create songs that are branched out in different genres and directions, building music that has fewer boundaries than whatever you might be used to, which is quite refreshing.
All of it has that very soulful vocal approach, and the songs, much of the time, have some kind of actual message or meaning behind them that she's pulling from her life experience.
I think these are the things that we look for in a good pop artist. However, she's not just pop, as I said.
A lot of the time, she does sit firmly under the pop umbrella, but again, she goes in different directions depending on her mood and what she's being influenced by at the time.
She always seems to fall right into character with the music, and I feel like the entire thing is completely natural for her.
Definitely check this track out as soon as you can, don't be afraid to turn it up, and remember where you heard it first.
