Malcolm Philip Flavell, born March 30, 1995, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a singer, songwriter, and musician whose music blends heart, soul, and storytelling. Performing under the name James Malcolm Band, a tribute to his late father, he writes songs that reflect resilience, hope, and the beauty in everyday life. A graduate of Cardinal Gibbons High School and Florida State University, Malcolm draws inspiration from real experiences, Florida roots, and the people who shaped him. His debut album captures the ups and downs of life — from the sunny optimism of “Roll With the Sunshine” to the emotional depth of “Brother, Are You Out There.” The heartfelt duet “I’ll Be the Fire” stands as a centerpiece, blending harmony, warmth, and lyrical devotion.
