An upcoming single from Fitzkee Brothers has a wonderful way of giving off a sense of honesty and it comes in the form of a robust and southern-touched classic rock sound that delivers the energy of a live performance, and the vibe of a track that you've been hearing on the radio for years now.
"Tomorrow" features some outstanding guitar work, especially with the slide, which is pertinent to why it has that southern tonality. This works like a charm because it is indeed a southern rock single, but it's got that almost vintage classic rock aesthetic to it and seeing that we're no strangers to the group, I can tell you that I'm not surprised at that classic rock influence flowing through the veins of this track.
I certainly dig the fact that these guys always use a brilliant combination of vintage classic rock soundscapes and an added drive and slightly twangy guitar sections that really come together and give their releases a beautiful aesthetic that boasts plenty of soul.
Listening to this song makes you want to go see them perform it live, that goes with that question. Part of that is because there's so much great guitar work going on throughout this song and you can tell that there is a real love for performing by all band members but especially the guitar and vocals because they're just really bellowing out these awesome rock segments that are sort of vivacious and have an addictive color and character to them.
So, while you're listening to the track, you imagine the performance live on stage because you just can't help it.
It's got that kind of feel to it throughout the track where it's almost as if you're kicking back and watching them jam out on stage.
I love this because you don't get it that often and it adds a little bit of extra life and breath to rock music when you hear it that way because it's almost like arena rock in a way.
There is a lot of jamming, and I think that's a big part of why it's got that vibe, but I love that aspect about it and a lot of the songs have that. Their last release also had this sort of live energy to it and some great guitar jamming.
The vocals on the track are excellent because they're just robust and performed with heart and soul so, a lot of the elements of this track have a way of complimenting other ones.
Between the drumming, the guitars, and the vocals, all of those elements in particular seem to push each other and let the song break through to where it was meant to be.
I've definitely been keeping a close eye on these guys since we first heard them and their evolution of how they write songs and what they put out has been outstanding so far because they do actually evolve which I think is something rock bands should all be doing.
Instead of rewriting the same songs over and over, they should be evolving and changing just a little bit, and you can hear that with Fitzkee Brothers.
A lot of that is soul. There's a lot of soul and heart in their songs and each track that they release has a little bit more and a little bit more so I'm sure the next track is going to still have a little element of surprise because they always do, but you know it's going to have a big soulful impact.
It's rock music you can feel in your bones, and it also has a nostalgic familiarity to it because it feels again, like a track that you've been listening to on the radio for years now and that's welcoming.
Check this track out, turn it nice and loud, and jump right in.
