Fitzkee Brothers Bring On The Southern Rock with Their newest Single

ree

The latest release from Fitzkee Brothers hits with a heavy-handed southern soul, funk, and classic rock influences, along with some edgier sounds and robust choruses that boast such colorful but anthemic approaches that the whole thing ends up just packing a great punch.

One of my favorite aspects of this track in particular is how it comes right in with this melodic guitar hook, and this is important to me simply because real rock music should have guitar hooks. This is something that I've found has faded out in recent years, but growing up and listening to all kinds of rock music, especially classic and southern rock, always has some great guitar lyrics that serve hooks with as much impact and memorable attributes as the choruses.

Now, don't get me wrong, this track has a massive chorus, and that's really the powerhouse of the song, but that guitar hook that introduces the track comes back again, and it really felt satisfying. When I heard the guitar hook in the beginning of the song the first time around, I just wanted to hear that again, and sure enough, there it was.

This is something that proves these guys know exactly what they're doing when they're writing a song in terms of keeping things genuine when it comes to rock arrangement.

They hit the nail on the head and come in with the hook, bring it back again, and then hit you with huge choruses that have an impact and bear loads of that southern soul.

The track is called "River Runs Dry", and it's the latest in a series of singles the boys have been dropping. This is probably one of my favorites simply because it takes such a heavy sort of direction without going over the top.

When I say heavy, I don't mean sonic distortion that is used for metal or anything like that; I just mean that it has a heavy hand. The performances are big. The guitars are hit hard, the drums are pounded, and everything just sits right in the pocket, but also delivers that classic set of staples that you expect from Fitzkee Brothers.

If you're not very familiar with the group, then you should jump right in. This is one of the best songs to start with because it gives you a great example of what these guys can do in terms of creating a soundscape that feels like a live performance. The energy is through the roof, it's well thought out, and completely infectious from point A to point B.

Whenever they release a new track, it takes its own direction. There's always something there that feels familiar because they stick to some of their Staples, but with each new single release, they give you something new, showcasing a little bit of a different side to how they write their songs and how they perform.

You get some great glimpses into some of their many classic rock influences, and this track is no exception.

If you dig this one, you should definitely check out the rest of their singles, starting with the track called "Tomorrow", which certainly showcases more of that southern approach with some slide guitars and really vivacious energy and performance.

Then there are tracks like "Lakesong", which have a little bit of a smoother feel, bring elements of funk in a sense, and feel a little bit more indie rock at times.

All of this boils down to how they utilize their many influences to create their music and still have it feel like it's their own. It's familiar, welcoming, a little warm, with deep grooves and positive attitudes, but it definitely breeds something a little fresh as well.

So, it feels good to listen to their stuff, whether it's on the heavier side, the soulful side, more Americana, or more classic rock, you're getting something authentic.

"River Runs Dry" is an amazing track that definitely puts you in the moment with the guys. The guitar work is always outstanding, and again, this track is absolutely no exception to that rule either.

All the songs are very guitar-driven driven but the vocals also have the same level of soul and impact as the guitars do.

The drumming is always in the pocket, but it also adds a unique sort of sense of liveliness to the songs as well. It's almost like everyone's feeding off of the drummer and gaining on that to put forth into the song.

When the drums hit harder, the guitars are strummed heavily. The vocals are belted louder, and it all comes together.

So, check this truck out because it's brand new, but also check out the rest of the releases. Again, this is one of my favorite tracks that they've dropped so far, and as far as we know, they're always working on new stuff. They seem to really have several singles per year, and there are no strangers to live performances, having tons of outstanding showcases under their belt, having shared the stages with some heavy hitters to say the least.

Check this one out right now, turn it up, and you'll find yourself singing along in no time.

Remember where you heard it first.
