Some of the latest singles from BounceCX take you on different journeys through hip hop and rap with inventive production that adds spacious undertones along with creative flows and lyrical phrasing that let you get attached to the groove and start bobbing your head along with the music.
"Proper Timing" is a single that certainly boasts a lot of radio-friendly and current hip hop vibes and approaches with great effects on the vocals at different times in the track, and a unique approach to putting different eras of Hip Hop together to create something that's got its own atmosphere.
This is a very addictive track, and it feels kind of like a heavy-handed banger simply because the beat is strong, but it also features these synths and keys that swell in the background of the track, and it gives it a different kind of feel.
This track combines those classic hip-hop beats with futuristic style synths and string keys to create something that wraps itself around you.
Throughout the track, the artist touches on a bunch of topics, and he can get personal when he wants to, but also keeps that peppered throughout the song itself. This is a single that boasts an edginess to it. He's got a lot of character and personality that just comes rushing towards you right from the start of the song.
I love hip hop tracks that give you this much personality because you don't come across them often.
This single is definitely one that hits hard, but also balances that element with a brilliant approach to thinking outside the box ever so slightly.
This is a track that is built with fewer boundaries than you may be used to, which is something I really liked.
Along with the single comes a music video that also showcases the artist's charisma on screen, which is great because he comes through with a classic kind of hard edge style, but there's also that layer of character that comes in, and you see more of that persona in the video.
BounceCX also has a bit of pop sensibility and a natural knack for hooks when he wants to. Another recent single release called "Bounce Back" gives off massive hooks that stick in your head for hours or even days after the song has ended.
This track was pulled off with a seamless and fluent rap flow that just seems to keep going and going. I love that about the track because you have so much to soak in lyrically.
Everyone involved with this track brings on a particular energy. This is another thing that I was able to really get into. A lot of the tracks that this artist releases portray such massive energy, but it's balanced out dynamically.
The performances are never super over the top, but instead really well portrayed with a tasteful approach and still giving loads of swagger and personality along with it.
This track was done with UH-OH and was quite a catchy one.
BounceCX also loves to experiment with his beats, flows, and approaches.
Songs like "DOPEST OUT" give off such a different vibe than the other two. It's almost haunting, gritty, and cinematic.
This one has various effects throughout, including some of the vocals, and takes a completely different direction, which was something I could really get into.
So, you can see that the artist can branch off and create music based on the state of mind he's in at the time.
There are no walls really built around the music that he creates, and he's unafraid to pull from life experiences, say what he wants to say, and from a slew of different influences that he probably grew up listening to.
After listening to those three tracks alone, I went back to dip through the artist's catalog on Spotify, and there were a bunch of ridiculous releases out there, including several full-length albums, loads of collaborations, and plenty more.
The deeper you dip into the back catalog of BounceCX, the more you can tell he's devoted a lot of his life to the art.
I would start with "Proper Timing" and go from there, but that's just me.
Don't just take my word for it, though; listen to this stuff and remember where you heard it first.
