Born Omar Angus Sites in Forfar, Scotland and raised mostly in Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA. I began playing guitar at 14, playing in a classic rock cover band at 16, and writing and recording music at 18. After that I played in classic rock cover bands or wrote and recorded music. I was inspired by: The Beatles, The Ventures, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Jon Butcher, Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Rusty Cooley, and Plini. I have played with some awesome musicians. I have played on recordings with Steve Vai, Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot, etc), Tony Franklin (The Firm, etc.), and Craig Martini (Paul Gilbert, Phil Collen, etc.). I also received guidance (and guitar tips) from Rusty Cooley (Outworld, Day of Reckoning, etc.). I take pride in my do-it-yourself production methods. Aside from Tony and Craig playing bass on a couple tracks, I have played all the guitars and basses on my albums. I independently released two instrumental rock guitar albums. Both have a classic rock vibe, but there are elements of classical, progressive rock, blues, surf, funk, and even techno. • Houston (2022) was my debut album. It was primarily written after 2018. • Retrograde (2024) was mostly developed from tunes written before 2012. • The Third Wish (2024). I have not played any shows in a while and don’t really plan to, but I have started working on the next batch of songs.
