A brand new single just dropped from TP Corleone hits with a deep-rooted set of grooves influenced by classic disco and house blended together to create something that has a drive and rhythm to it you can't shake off.
"Sleep With The DJ" is the kind of song you immediately want to start moving your body to. If you're driving in the car, you're going to be shaking your butt in your seat. If you're at home, you'll be dancing around the house and probably singing along to certain elements of the track as well.
This is a very well-arranged and produced single and I love how it brings together that classic disco element and a more refreshing feeling of dance-pop and house.
This is, without a doubt, a party song and it gets most people at that party straight to the dance floor within seconds flat.
There are layers of percussion that build in the track along with classic disco synths that are like string sections and all kinds of great keys that add color to the already vivacious and lush soundscape of the single.
One of the other attributes about this track that I loved is how it also brings in this sort of 90s hip-hop vibe as well. You get that C+C Music Factory sort of aesthetic at times and I love that because I grew up with that kind of stuff.
This definitely has a lot to do with the percussion and the keys that are used throughout the song however it also has a lot to do with the vocals.
The vocal approach to this track has an animated swagger to it that makes it colorful and fun and that is part of what gives it all this personality and a little bit of looseness to let you know that this is not a track that you have to take super seriously, but in turn, you can have a great time just blasting it.
And this I think is what this track is about. It's about having a good time.
This was quite an addicting and vibrant track that really has something for everybody but for me, there's a little hint of nostalgia in the air when I listen to this song.
Again, I did grow up in a time when this kind of stuff was really at its height and the way that this artist nailed the aesthetic of that vibe and musical approach of that time is incredible.
I'm not sure if he did it on purpose or not but either way, listening to this track definitely gets you going and gave me those bits of nostalgia to hold on to. Because of that, it feels kind of warm and welcoming in its own way.
I definitely love the synth tones that are used here. There's like a soiree of synthesizers and keys that come in and out of this track giving it even more Funk, more disco, more pop, and more energy.
This single has a lot of all of that. Plenty of energy and plenty of character but it also has an addictive aspect to it that gets in your bones and really kind of sets the mood.
If you listen to this track in the morning first thing, you're definitely going to be setting your tone for the rest of the day and it's going to be a great one.
It's also the kind of track you listen to on your way to the party to get yourself revved up.
This was definitely a fun one and I'm 100% sure that you're going to have a great time listening to it as well so go ahead and dive into this and remember exactly where you heard it first.
