A new EP release from All You Can Hate brings out a vast undertone and a unique breed of honesty in the form of indie rock songs that are coded in a drippy reverb effect that lets the songs travel in a forward-moving flow and lets you feel like the songs are sort of swimming around in the air that's around you.

The Nothing Lasts Forever EP is brimming with personality and character as again; a lot of these tracks are lyrically honest if you listen. Those are the kinds of elements you end up getting attached to.

The guitars have this perfect sort of early 90s underground indie rock looseness to them and the entire aesthetic of the record feels slightly cinematic in its own right.

You can certainly hear alternative rock influence on certain songs, especially vocally. You have such great vocal harmonies and slight edginess to the tonality of everything here that you can hear those alt-rock inspirations coming through here and there.

There are definitely more than a few surprises around the corners of this record, and a lot of the melodic aspects vocally are quite memorable and end up sticking around in your brain for hours or even days after the songs have ended.

The only way to satiate that is to listen to the record again and I think that's a brilliant thing.

There is something so nostalgic about this. It feels so personal to me when I listen to it all the way through.

It feels almost like certain songs could have served as the soundtrack to chapters in my own life and I think that's where I made such a heavy connection with the record.

I grew up during a certain time and this kind of music was very prevalent then.

I spent a lot of time rummaging through magazines and searching for songs on LimeWire or Napster trying to find that one track that I heard on an underground radio station a few days prior.

There's something special about that time of life and how you found music back then.

This whole release makes me think of that. It boasts this aesthetic that feels nostalgic for someone in my age group I suppose.

There is something about these songs that is outside the box. There is an expansive underbelly involved, and these tracks aren't exactly cookie-cutter. They have layers and it's fun to peel those layers back.

They do such an outstanding job of blending all of these rock genres together to create what I would consider an atmosphere for you to soak in.

The energy is something that grabs me. When you listen to the record it almost sounds like these songs were recorded live on the floor, to an extent, and everyone involved was feeding off of each other's energies the whole time.

It has an almost live performance feel and aesthetic.

This is a key element to how the record comes through because, again, it blends an edginess with color and personality. It is totally balanced dynamically between the vocals, guitars, bass guitar, and drums.

I do feel like there was plenty of attention to detail during the creation of these songs but there is that element of looseness that again, gives you the live performance energy and approach.

There's nothing I love more than hearing a track on a record and knowing immediately that the band is going to be awesome live.

You listen to this release, and you just want to go see them perform it live in your face.

I love this almost drifting feeling that you get from listening to the full record. You sort of get engulfed in that atmosphere and soundscape and then eventually washed away with it as well.

This release gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling that I haven't had in quite some time and for that, I owe them a thank you.

This is clearly an EP crafted by a band with a real love for their craft.

Take a deep dive into this record as soon as you can, and I strongly suggest listening to it from beginning to end so you can get the full experience.

This is meant to be heard as a whole. Listening to one or two songs won't really give you the full spectrum of what the full EP has to offer so do yourself a favor and check out the whole thing.

Remember where you heard it first.
